Can't believe that black / white opponent cast Kaya with only 9 mana. You have to be more patient than that against a control deck.

Made especially delightful by his saltiness during the game. Overall I love CGB, but it's kind of silly to get upset at someone out-controlling your control deck and just giving you a taste of your own medicine.

Man, seeing these decks always takes me back to when I was just a stool kiwi, when I netdecked monored lists to play.
It was just befire war of the spark came, and I got controlled for the first time by a deck that had a couple of devious cover-ups as wincon. No mill, no nothing.
And I got so salty I played it to the end. Man, that control mage had a long day trying to get out of bronze
Hehe. On the other hand, some people play control not for ranking up, but for making aggro players' day miserable. At least for me, if I lose to mono red or boros too much, then I would play my mono black oops all removal deck, doing my part on curbing the aggro population.
I've been playing mostly control since Revised had just come out. :) Those are my favorite games. Most folks'll scoop to save time. Arena is mostly best of one, but best of 3 was the thing before it came out...
I'm not gonna show it, externally, as the guy not scooping isn't, either. He is going to drag to mess with me, as ive countered all his spells and Creatures DTR (dies. to. removal. even if the card has one of the three abilities out there to make it not get Destroyed. if im playing blue, black or white i will be able to get around it another way.) I'm never running out of cards because i know card advantage is one of the strongest things in MTG

Four years before, the first home internet provider came out. prodigy, and it Stunk. People used to think that the internet would Flop because a there and back email exchange took 20 or more minutes of loading.

reminds me of when you run into people who are running mono black mono removal. They had a bad experience and you are suffering the consequences...
When other peoples decks are just misery + creatures I'll build mine without the creatures.
but you only face them when you're playing full control because they only switched to mono black because they faced 50 mono reds before you. The algorithm wants newer players to do okay and not get beat down too hard so they stick around and buy stuff. So when you swap to mono black removal/lifegain you never see a mono red or aggro again

I love this. I will almost never play it. When each game takes so long, it makes Arena yet more painful than it already is.
i had opponents playing decks like this that either stall very hard or try to realm breaker as a win con, my virtue of knowledge copying the stone brain trigger just dissected their decks and it was glorious.
would roaming throne double the things mounts do, since it's effects are in the form ' whenever this creature attacks while sadddled' ?

why did you wait until draw to blow up cavern against the rakdos dragons oponent? i found it very interesting but cant think of a reason of why that step specifically

I had to add a wincon to my paper UW control, I kept going to time at fnm... Stoic Sphinx has been the go to but I mix it up with Jace the Perfected Mind occasionally.
