I found mine last August with only 3k miles, 2 owners, garage kept. I absolutely love it. Haven't seen another one on the road, and i get compliments on it daily. Definitely a conversation starter.
They really are. Just like my Niken. I love riding something different. Everyone one wants to chat about it. These are really different and really comfortable. @in2moto have one in there now and it’s definitely eye catching when you walk into the showroom
I owned one for a couple of years and enjoyed it. Stock screen is useless. Yours has been changed as well. Comfortable but very heavy to move around. They're going up in value. It's not DCT but is very smooth.
MY GOD, this bike is perfection. As a 55 year old who loves hige V-Twins and Scooters, this is right in the middle. Never heard of it until now April 2024 and I love what I see.
Great to see this, I had a black one for a while, I found myself cramped on it being 6ft 3in. I loved the gearbox which is not DCT but hydraulic, someone said it was based on a snowmobile one. Thanks for posting.
I'm similar to you in that I like to be different, which hasn't always paid off. Back when, as a kid, everyone was getting BMXs, I wanted a Grifter, cos it had gears. Not only that, I got the "XL" version to be even more different. I'm surprised I didn't get beaten up 😂 My current car for example is a DS4 (not a new one) It's different again, not many around, but in typical Citroen fashion, it's been a lemon 😢 This being a Honda speaks for itself, it looks fantastically different, the colour also sets it apart. I'm sure the auto gearbox is perfectly matched but I think I'd still prefer to be in charge of the gears. So, I'm different and a control freak too 😂😅 Keep doing these types of videos, for many, a brand new model is financially out of reach, it's refreshing to see what is out there from a few years ago.
I almost bought a used one of these from Blackpool Honda, but opted for a Forza 350, (The DN Wouldn't fit in the Stable), great bike though and nice review
There are a lot of reasons that Honda didn't sell many and why they ceased production after only 2 years. Anyone can look them up and decide for themselves if it does anything well enough to make them want to buy one. Engine wise it's the same motor as the Deauville. Interestingly, one of the most common complaints about it was poor comfort :)
I can’t believe that. It was ridiculous how comfortable it was. I would say it suffered because of looks. Just like my own Niken. Poor sales figures because of how it looks. It’s such a shame because to ride they are amazing.
@@GillyBikes Its looks are certainly "interesting", niche even and were undoubtedly met with mixed reactions, but I don't think the price when new helped either - they were pretty pricey IIRC. Not saying it's a bad bike but it was certainly a sales flop for the big H.
It's a great bike, but not a DCT as described. It has a hydraulic drive which is the predecessor to the more modern DCT automatic transmissions. It's cost was initially more than a Honda Civic which was its downfall,; but these days it's a lot of motorcycle for the price on the used market. It's not as well supported with aftermarket accessories as other Honda offerings, but it's the smoothest riding bike on the market and has a nice low center of gravity. A taller touring windscreen would make it perfect for me.
Loved the video. It seems a great bike . Having trouble with imperial measures. How much is five foot eight in meters? 🤔 Anyway... Thanks for a great video 😊
Great bike to review, yet another weird and wonderful bike from honda , that was a complete flop , but you cannot fault honda for putting it into production , on paper it should of sold really well . I really like it , but I also like the niken so that makes me weird like you 😅
Have had one of these from new (2008) and bought it as a commuting bike....... Only I have kept it and it now has over 23000mls under its wheels. Still puts a big grin on my face when used... When using the 'gears' (Oil pressure not DCT) in 'manual mode' each 'gear' can be taken up to the rev limiter at 9500rpm..... But its best to change at 9000rpm and that is where a big surge forward can be felt. However, do not do this on public roads as you'll soon find yourself travelling at well over the national speed limit. In 2019 it won a trophy for the best modern bike at a show!! I did say to the organisors that at 11 years old I'm not sure its not that modern but hey, I got a nice big trophy and certificate so I ain't conplaining. The better half also likes riding pillion on this and I don't notice any drop off in performance. At the time DN-01 stood for Do Not Order One....... Now its more like Do Not Own One...... As you won't find anything else like it to ride but if you have the room, and can add one to your 'collection' I don't think you'll be disapointed.... No, I'm not selling mine so don't ask.
Thanks for sharing. I was really impressed with how good this bike was to ride. If I bought one I probably wouldn’t sell it either. It’s definitely a bike for life. 😎
interesting bikes, kinda ugly but has a certain appeal, not seen many on the road, they didn't sell so well as they were expensive, might suit my knackered leg when I get to where I can get back out there
🤭I jump on bikes as I see them in the dealership. I make no money. I put enough time into videoing and editing to make a ten minute video. It’s not a full time job for me. I wish it was and if it was I would put more effort in to research but as a hobby, as something I do for fun ? Luckily I have people like you that can help. 👍

They are brilliant. Just a massive scooter really. So easy to ride and unbelievably comfortable.

Thanks. What did you replace it with?
@@GillyBikes I think I got a Yamaha XVS1900 after the Dino, a bit different and had the room I needed.

I’ve done quite a few of these used bike bargains. There should be at least 1 a week for the next few months. 😁

These do take up a lot of space. 😂.
That would be brilliant to go on the back. That seat looks super comfy
Like sitting on a cushion of air 😍
It’s not a “dct” it’s the “HFT” gearbox
It was similar to ride to the new Goldwing with DCT so stupidly I presumed it was the same. 🤗
Love the look, great bike, would love to own one ❤
You should treat yourself to one 😎
To nie jest takie trudne. 03.2024 kupiłem ze Szwajcarii za rozsądną cenę! Jestem bardzo szczęśliwy!!!
Am I weird I kinda like it lol almost cruiser-esque. Change the exhaust and screen couple of low boxes on the rear it's a bagger ? Great video 👍
Cheers 👍. I feel the same. Completely different to what everyone else is riding. It’s so weird I like it. 😂.
The foot brake also operates on part of the front brake
A good safety feature 👍

Stands for “human friendly transmission”

Thanks. It would be 172cm.
@@GillyBikes thank you for your reply. I'm 1,71 so this way I can compare. Thanks a lot 🙂
You are very welcome
Is there a Honda CIA, or a Honda Homeland Security as well?
Hopefully there is an Mi5 as well 😂
spare parts are available ?
It’s a Honda so I can’t see that being a problem

It looks exactly like a missile waiting to hit the motorway..
It is Not a DCT but a CVT
I believe so. I had not long been on a new Goldwing so I just had DCT in my head 😳

podoba/nie podoba to sprawa gustu?
Research.. That's an aftermarket screen
