Gorgeous! I have loved Bonnie since she was just a young lady, and I was even younger! Wow! I saw her in concert around 1977; she was 28 and I was 17. I love Bonnie Raitt. Oh, watching this concert now, she just mentioned a song she performed when she was only 21! Where was I then?? Hahahahah. Enjoy.
I was lucky enough to be at this show. It was my second time to see Bonnie in person and the first where she was with her own band, there is no way to describe the power that she had over the audience the afternoon/evening. Though I first saw her play on the tube back in the '70s, when I fell in love with both the person and that old brown Strat. Since that day, I've had multiple opportunities to see her play and to speak with her. I can only say, that smile is so genuine and her heart is so large I have nothing but love and respect for her!
A great and good person, Bonnie Raitt. Principled, dedicated. Shows up for every benefit, slays the crowd with her talents, and keeps on truckin. Human Rights advisory boards seek her out. We're so lucky to have her in our lives. And, she sings ALMOST as good as her Pop! ;) Thank you Bonnie
I am going to be 64 A devout fan Bonnie . Eric, The great BB, Stevie Ray I never get enough. They helped me go back to & find the greats/ the originals ferried in the wonderful movie Cadillac Records. The wonderful Etta James and Chess recordings. I think ones would save I love the Blues. Recordings like these especially Bonnie's help me get through my Day. Times have been challenging but I listen to my music and I smile every day- good & bad.
@@stevenwatson7668 WOW....I am so happy she decided to learn guitar too...THAT is what took her in the big direction she been on now for so long..... up to the STARS......
Bonnie came to Jacksonville Fl, early 2000's, a free event and damn, nothing like it ever with the Neville brothers. Nobody sings the Blues like Bonnie Raitt.
Thanks for the upload! This is a rare concert before she finally got the recognition she so deserved after 30 years of outstanding music making. Music runs in her family's royal blood!
Bonnie made it a men' s business through sheer talent and character. One of my all time favorite in terms of song writing combined with such great vocals and wonderful slide guitar (just listen to "have a heart"). But this is like taking coals to Newcastle.
Its hard to believe when i heard her " live " on the radio at WMMR in Philly in 1972 that she ( as raw as she was ) would become a star ( in her blues genre ) .
Man, I was at this show and it was the first time I saw Bonnie live (not counting a mini-set at Peace Sunday in 1982). I remember thinking how sexy she was and understanding why women always talked about the way guys moved. She had this terrific bounce to her, and now that I can see this again, I see it all over again. I can't believe I thought she was old then! She was only 40!
KickAss! Saw her several times in MA & VT during this era and she NEVER disappointed. Incl a meet 'n greet! Thank you, Bonnie. You helped me thru many struggles, during same times as you. Living very near by 1 another. Mine were brought on from a life in physical pain. But pain is pain. Right? Young, naive + alone navigating invisible pain led to many other things. Like you, tho, am warrior, hence, we've survived all these yrs later! 💪 💪 💪 BRAVO CONCERT👏 👏 👏 👏
I am a long time fan. Thanks for sharing this concert, I was there with my daughter not yet born and it was great!! It brings back so many good memories. After I saw my first Bonnie Raitt show in the early seventies at the old O theatre in downtown Mpls performing with her father John, I was hooked. Thank you.
I first saw her in Tampa in the mid 70's when she couldn't sell out a small venue with John Lee Hooker and then again with Muddy Waters. She has always respected the blues' greats and she is now among them.
I have listened to Bonnie Raitt's the song " Have a heart", where she is singing and playing the tambourine, and felt her the charm. .Then, I have seen this concert in Oakland. It was incomparable, maybe one of the best, in my amateur opinion. What is a wonder that ''witch" or "redhead temptress", how was expressed by Renato. See there a small text in honour of the gorgeous singer, one of my favourite the musician. Her manner of performance includes a '' turbulent'' and merry in a rock-style and slow lyrical songs( such as ''Cry on my shoulder my love'' and ''Love me like a man'') At the end of the concert Bonnie Raitt has performed her famous song ''Nick of Time'', simultaneous playing the piano on a gloomy stage...It was been matchless! I was captivated by her honest and full of dignity manner to hold on the scene. She never lies on the stage, all she makes is truthfully and always full with deep feeling. I hope you will apologize for my comments concerning your performance. It is difficult for me to write about such a famous singer.Dear Bonnie, You are the splendid fiery-red-haired sacrificial priestess of blues, rock and country With. Love and respect your admirer.
@Bonnie Raitt Ms Raitt I am so sorry I said "near" note perfect. What an ass. You have such style and strength and sassiness and I love your music and your soulful voice. You're great basically.
number of thing s come to mind when is hear this . great talent, but also a voice born from cofee houses , some dodgy spots, but also working on your craft. pull away the recent technology and the overwelming stage shows and you have to rest on your gifts and your hard work to hone your skills. there is also a recognition of having great musicians arround you to support you. i do not want to crap on most recent pop stars but can you fall back on your just your voice and no tricks.. she is one in a million and truly inspiring
Damn best showcase concert... Bonnie exceptional Rock a Billy mixed with Blues...she is whole body, soul into her music...flowing red hair, smiles with dimples..pure body trembles with her music...love it Love it, Love her voice..whole package deal😍😍

Bonnie and I had a love affair that lasted a month and a half. During that time, I told her my life story, and she sang songs I find that speak to me so incredibly. It feels as if she KNOWS Me in the music; man, how cool it such that her music is the only music that brings me to H.tears. . probability is the luck of the draw Bonnie, I love you thanks for the LOVE she was a blues musician I even recall her showing me her ID, and yes, it was her yet I knew her not at all other than as my love bonnie is all never for 32 years did I recognize her in the fame she has. Only 40 yrs? Here it's for 55. Happy Birthday Bonnie!! I'm 64 and have been following my favorite red head for probably 30 years. This woman absolutely knows how to rock it. Almost at the very top of my all time favorite musicians. Why do you think all the other top musicians want her to perform with them on their shows? She happens to be David Crosby's favorite! I think she'll be playing another 20 years!

Great band 🏴
Wow Bonnie you are just so awesome and brilliant absolutely thank you, can surely make that guitar slide all over
