- According to recent reports, more than a million UK patients buy cannabis illegally to treat themselves. While on the streets, patients can never be sure what they’ve got for their money, the BBC reports that Sapphire Medical Clinics are first in the UK to offer access to a new range of low-cost UK manufactured medical cannabis products.
It still boggles my mind that our “authorities” choose to deny consumers a product that is less dangerous then alcohol and tobacco.
Whilst being one of the worlds largest suppliers of medical cannabis.

It's just a shame the woman in this video is obviously an advocate for homeopathy. Acupuncture, oxygen therapy and "supplements"... She did say she was looking for a "Magic bullet".
I can imagine if cannabis is ever made legal and adopted into traditional medicines the people looking for Alternate treatments will skip cannabis because it isn't an alternative medicine. Cannabis is one of the few alternative medicines that does actually work (although It still has limits to what it can do, it's not a miracle drug).

I also took morphine and it did nothing for me. The doc was fine with giving me this yet wouldn't give my cannabis based medicine. Must be something to do with the pharmaceutical companies earning huge amounts of money and the UK GPs are in cahoots with them. Shocking!!

Having had Fibromyalgia for 18 years after a serious accident, my doctor prescribed Oramorph for pain after he had tried several other drugs which i could not tolerate. I was reluctant at first to take it but when I did my pain practically disappeared. I could continue with my life and do what I wanted. I was so grateful. Then, out of the boue my doctor informed me that government diktat meant that they could no longer give me Oramorph. The shock of that information still reverberates with me. It brough back the PTSD and the nightmares that I had had after the accident which left me with several broken bones and a 6 1/2" plate and 67 nuts, bolts and screws in my head. I cannot believe or understand the cruelty and stupidity of this pronouncement. I had faith in doctors and the medical profession - they saved my life - but they need to stand up and be counted. My doctor has told me that in his opinion medical cannabis would help me - lets' face it now, nothing else can - but he cannot prescribe it.
The actual channel that's posted this video Saphire are great by the way. I've just received my first prescription from then are it's just amazing I don't need to go to the black market for it. Let's hope we see a continue of cannabis and potential other medicines not be shunned any more by society

Just ridiculous that if you can't afford the private medical costs which are completely extortionate then your a criminal in the UK, especially the repeat prescription costs, your local dealer wouldn't charge you extra for being a repeat customer, if anything the more you see one the better the deal's get.

£50 per month?, how many grams do you get for that because I killed an oz of stardawg in 1 week, usually smoke 3.5g daily.

all the while the doctors are against using it we will never get what we need, i have a letter from all doctors in my surgery, then my doctor put on the form to dvla i take canibis and wont give it up he also stated on that same form that ive long term PTSD and back injury meaning im in constant pain, ive been taking it for 40+years,surely a doctors priority is a patients wellfare? ive had my licence revoked on history of drug use ive never been caught with drugs never been driving on drugs, so im now trapped at home buying mine from criminals and its rubbish 😒
That's terrible, sorry to read that. But why did your GP tell DVLA about cannabis use, did you apply for a private prescription?

Still paying ridiculous prices for it and I have been using it since June last year and only one tub of flower I've ordered was OK. The quality is shite. There are two types of patients, one who knows nothing about cannabis strains so they are just given what the doctor sends. They other are people who know there cannabis and know what and are given the same rubbish. This is why I'd rather buy better quality ealse where. They are making a fortune from us all! We have a long way to go. legalisation for recreational and medical use ✌️🌱💚

Medical weed wont do anything for me if its less potent then what I get on the street.
Any weak strain keeps me awake all night with a splitting headache but if its loaded with THC then I can guarantee a good nights sleep.

I'm seriously thinking about trying a medical cannabis prescription but I have a few questions beforehand.

How involved is my regular NHS doctor in the process?
I've been taking opiate based painkillers for more than 20 years as well as anti depressants and sleeping tablets and I'm sick of them.
I feel like crap all the time, I've no energy, I can't eat properly and feel like a zombie. I've no interest in things I used to love. The list of side effects goes on and on.
While I plan to come of my 'normal' medication I don't want to go through the mental and physical pain of withdrawal before I'm sure medical cannabis works for me.
Do I have to stop my 'normal' medication before I start taking medical cannabis?
Any help with these questions would be greatly received.
Hi I’m in the same position as you and then found sapphire I tried some from a friend and I felt like I was in heaven my pain just disappeared instantly and I smiled properly for the first time in years I’ve since hooked up with sapphire and waiting for my first assessment the doctor was readily able to send summary care records to them but if you haven’t made the move yet I would certainly recommend you do pharmaceutical companies are going to lose out when everyone decides to change to add more holistic route after all it was put on this earth for our use as is everything else in our natural world good luck in going forward don’t stay stuck where you are now 😊

I'm glad you've found a better way forward. You're right, I can't go on like this. I need to make a change and get of these pharmaceutical meds.
The side effects are crap.
I have tried cbd hash and weed and found it really helpful but it was £12 a gram and an 80 mile round trip to collect. Not being able to work I found it was more than I could afford.
Whenever I did have it I would often forget to take my 'normal' meds which I'd never do when I don't have it.
I was much happier.
I first time I tried cbd was in an oil vape.
I took a few big hits on it and I felt a wave of calmness come over me and all my stress just drain away.
I think medical cannabis is the way forward. As soon as I have the money I'm going to book an assessment.
I see my doctor every four weeks so I'll chat to him about it as well.
Hopefully medical cannabis will continue to grow. No pun intended.
Maybe one day we'll be allowed to grow our own medicine without fear of the law.
@@paulfletcher3998 it’s oil or they only use the actual flower which is the bit that kills your pain with no side affects I don’t work either I broke my back in a car accident and have nasty pain I also have fibromyalgia and arthritis both will be helped by the medicinal cannabis keepin touch would be good I hope you get to have your assessment I’ll let you know how mine goes too i wish you well try and keep really warm too I know it’s difficult I have a fire pit which I use to keep warm also it’s great just before bedtime I collect wood on my walks so it’s free ! @@lisaallen8379 I used to have a girlfriend who had fibromyalgia so I've an idea about the pain it causes you.
It was heartbreaking watching her in so much pain.
I was very badly burnt. 85% of my body was burnt. I was over in Australia and my tent caught fire in the middle of the night.
We were miles from anywhere so The Flying Doctors came to collect me and take me the 1100km to hospital.
After spending 4 and a half months in hospital I was well enough to fly home and as soon as I got back to the UK I went into a burns unit here.
My main problem with pain is my feet. My feet and legs have 3rd degree burns and I've been skin grafted from my toes to my waist.
I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with your assessment. I hope it goes well for you.
I'm definitely going to get on it and get an assessment in the new year.
I've tried so, so many different types of medication from the doctor over the years for my pain, ptsd and depression and never really got on with any of it.
It's past time for making a change.

tyes, I agree that getting cannabis this way is great and probably solves pain problem, BUT because your doctor is involved in giving your details, he will let DVLC know as a matter of course, and they will almost certainly withdraw your licence! Think about it.
You think about it! It's the same as any other prescription medicine, you are instructed NOT to drive if you feel affected :)
Nor the same. With many other prescription drugs you have the right to choose "do not drive if you feel unsafe". DVLC is not involved. I am all for legalising medical cannabis but it needs to be an even playing field. I do not want to lose my licence and all the freedomes - not to mention the ability to earn a living that involves. check your facts. I would love to be proved wrong because I think it is a travestry that not only would we be penalised for getting out of pain, but would also suffer through losing our licence, because the law stands that if you have taken certain drugs you will not be allowed to drive.@@kimchi_b

I have fibromyalgia and I’m allegeable for medical cannabis and they have dried flower thc based buds I want to know what’s the strength on the buds and what strains do they have
20% thc is what I have been recommended but I'm sure they may have a stronger strain. But 20% is more than enough to deal with my pain I find.

@@aloyh532 it's definitely better for my pain. It's cleaner and consistent so I know exactly how little or how much I'll need to help. I also have found I don't need to use it everyday which let's me have natural tolerance breaks which helps it to be a good long term strategy to manage pain.

This placed turned me away for cannabis use for my adult adhd but wouldnt allow me due to heart condition but yet i used cannabis to control ym adhd not making my heart beat as fast so thanks now i have to do it all illegally for something i should be legal on....U.K needs to do a proper study into this as anywhere else in the world id have my medication .... so thanks for making me take my meds illegally and having to get it off people that i dont know where it comes from yea sounds a really good option for people ....even though i smoke it everyday anyway pretty pathetic really
