Take a crappy low quality photo and then tie up the repeater for 2 minutes while it transmits. Or get d-star and be able to send a photo while voice qsos can continue, uninterrupted, simultaneously. Yaesu has failed so many times how are they still around?
Great video. Like your idea for the camera built into the radio. I was talking about this the other day. I suggested being able to send pics from your phone via Bluetooth, then TX them out. Hopefully faster though. Maybe like Easypal. Just sends a link over the air, then your phone would pull the picture from a server. Hope this has not already been mentioned.
Hello. Thank you Sir, for your professionalism and help to us "newbies". On this FT2D, does the software CD be used with an APPLE computer? This option was not available for the FT1DR. Thank you Sir.
4:25 - Did Craig say "10-4"? :-o Thanks for the video. The digital modes are a big selling feature of these radios but there are few videos demonstrating sending any form of data.
Hi, I'm looking for a radio/ scanner. My local fire, police are on P25 P2 system. If not do you know of a radio that is capable of picking up this digital frequency. I'm New to the game of ham radios. I'm working on my tec tag at this time. I own a Yaesu vx8dr, It's a great little radio. I pick up hams miles away and hit towers all over my County. I can't wait to talk and make contact with them all. Thanks any help would be much appreciated.
Bano Esparza i have a question if your unlicensed as you say and working on your tech tag the how are you hitting repeaters at all if your not allowed to transmit bud? oh just breaking the rules i guess!

And I cannot wait until your cellular network fails one day. Maybe you should check into studying for your amateur radio license and take part in this hobby.
Man, you really know your way around these radios quickly. Very interesting.....

What is the picture file sizes?
Does the radio use data compression?
What is the baud rate?
Is the transfer rate faster on 70 cm?

Love all your videos about system Fusion keep up the good work Erica your friend Mark k2csx
Which would you recommend for my 1st radio _(not counting my UV5R)_; the FT2D or ID-51+?
Good video. I think the file transfer (save) may be faster depending the which card you use. Some SD cards are faster than others.
I think for a radio that cost $549.95 at HRO, it should at least have cross band repeat.
These little radio are way over priced.
At least on high quality you can read the frequency on the dual bander, where on lower quality the numbers are blurred..

Jesse James I think he meant he was receiving signals from the RPTR. Give him the benefit of the doubt.
The camera/mic from Yaesu is pretty pricey, did anyone try building their own camera/mic?
Did I hear K4CPJ correctly?
4:25 can you switch it to low quality and send me another one?
4:29 ???10-4??? Standby K4CPJ.
Did he say 10-4??? LoL

If you build it, it will come.
I have a phone that I paid a third of the price of that radio and it sends color pictures instantly
