They exist to breed, expand and destroy the nature. Look at the amount of pollution around them. Look at how they continuously expanded. Wise people would stop breeding by now for the well being of the next generation.

There is enough money in Nigeria to help them, but as it is often the case, the government just doesn't care.
Nigeria is developing and advancing, albeit slower than it could if things were better managed, but it is moving forward, the future is bright.
You telling me Nigeria has the power to help them and won't??? As proud and arrogant as they are when they come to the states ??
@@mandalor-8315 I don't know about them being arrogant, but yeah the money is there. But this doc was from 2018 or 2019? Not sure. But this past january the government started kicking them out. They want to build luxury hotels there. Saw it on the news.
None Yours That’s what pisses me off about some African countries. Nigeria currently has the biggest GDP (economy) in Africa yet so many live in poverty. Obviously corruption is the #1 cause. There’s more than enough money to improve people’s lives.
Rickie McNicolls I fully agree. Africa is arguably the richest continent on the planet in terms of resources yet the poorest when it comes to overall GDP. Gold, diamonds, copper, oil, aluminum, coal, hydropower etc is available in abundance but only a few greedy politicians and their families are the beneficiaries.
Omg. I’m 2 minutes in and tearing up! I’ve seen hundreds of these types of documentaries and not once have I seen the host of the show giving something to the people. Well done.

What the people need most is FAMILY planning, too many children and parents are without any skills to feed them.
They dont even have Condoms there and they cost too much

They need education, more than family planning. You cannot solve a problem, like that, when it is already there.

Special thanks to the man with the kind soul, who not only went here to document what life is like but also gave somthing back.. We in the western world forget and complain we don't have enough..
This is a terrific documentary. Thank you for shedding light into their plight.
These people need help, I'm shock how cold and callous most of the comments are here, very little humanity, just criticism and judgement, but ultimately you are putting judgement on your own souls by condemning these poor people, if you don't have anything good to say please close your mouths.
This is why I could never be a rich man in this poor world because my heart is too big., God bless you Mr. Akingbade.
What is even more disconcerting is many of these negative comments are probably coming from so-called Christians?
For all the stones thrower out there & Christians who are slinging dirt on these beautiful people I will leave you with this...
Matthew 25:40
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Elbert Townsell you are passing judgment in just the same way. You must feel really good to think that others will go to hell.
joeecrackk
Obviously you’ve been convicted by my comments, by attacking me through classic projection behavior, you felt guilty about what I posted so you tried to place your guilt in me by accusing me of something that I’m not guilty of.
I said nothing about anyone going to hell, I just reference a scripture that states those who treat the least among us badly have a date with Karma.
I find it very ironic with all the negative comments that were posted concerning this video, if I’m not mistaken you said nothing in defense of these unfortunate souls in Nigeria, but the ONE comment that shedded light on people’s contemptible attitudes for these impoverished people, you have an issue with.
Think about that for minute, and ask yourself why? why was it easier for you to attack me when all I was doing was trying to stop people from being so mean spirited, my bigger question is this, all those who said hateful things, did you chastised them for that? Shameful.
I just left Gaborone Botswana & Pretoria South Africa about 6 months ago, I saw nothing like what this video shows, but if I did I would have went home a broke man, but where I found poverty I helped out.
Please have more compassion for those people who have nothing, and if you see a people who have nothing being talked down to, defend them.
HALLELUJAH, AMEN
@Island Mike what are you doing for the poor? Are you an atheist? If so, even your disbelief was concocted by men... Your paradigm was not only influenced but shaped by men or other persons belief. Safe to say, even your own perspective is flawed through your eyes. The bible is the truth, written by men, but inspired by God. I can rest assured you haven't read the bible thoroughly, and if you do, you will be changed, like i have been.
Your heart is too big? Hahaha ,you're gonna be taken advantage of till you learn how to be more selfish and circumspect.

It's heart breaking that people would have to live under these conditions. This world has enough wealth to help our fellow humans
So ... how many ten-thousands of $ have YOU already donated to them? 🤔
No. People need to take responsibility for their own lives and stop telling me to do it for them.
@@happymoonshadow9657 pardon? the government is extremely corrupt it has little to do with the makoko community “taking responsibility for their own lives”. They have nothing because the economic social and political system in nigeria is designed to keep them at the bottom. That is why you should try and help and not expect them to take responsibility for their own lives.
@@toluwanimiolabamiji2817 so you are say people should not take responsibility for their own lives? Got. Dumbass

You paying for the new moms medical expenses was so beautiful. Women sacrifice so much, and to see you take that burden off of her was amazing. God bless you.
This helps me appreciate where I live
Finally someone asked the most important question of all - why do you keep having children if you cannot afford them? It’s not important whether it’s in Western Africa or Russia or the USA. The choice to keep bringing kids into a situation that has economic hardship is confusing for many of us. I worked in Mali and Morocco and it was the same thing. I’m not sure the answer-is it the lack of contraception or is it a religious thing ? Perhaps lack of education? Interesting video. You’re a kind man no doubt
It's all 3 issues, plus cultural as well
This was a very beautiful and emotional video. God bless them all and provide them with all the help they desperately need. If there’s a way we can help please let me know. No one deserves to live like that. My heart is broken but I know God will make good things happen for all of them. Keep making videos like this one so more people see what’s going on, on the other side of the world. God bless you always!!!!
Nice
The new mother looks so depressed. They need better education and awareness especially birth control.
Its not her fault. God gave her those kids. She's just doing the best she can with what she has.
No birth control
These people are conformed in this situation. Because probably don't know the existence of birth control. The only option is became pregnant. She believe that she don't have other choice. Or religion say birth control is wrong
@@queenerza8936 lol she knows the circle and pull out method..otherwise, she would have given birth to 10 children

WOW! I love learning about other countries and different cultures, but sometimes I cry hard, especially when I see the little children. I tried so hard to give my children everything they needed and a lot of what they wanted but they did not appreciate much and gave me a very hard time in life, I love them very much despite that, but I look at these children and see so many smiles and wonder what did I do wrong.

I loved the video. Definitely had to subscribe. I grew up in a big family of 11. We grew up under the poverty level. It always bothered me when people shamed my parents for having so many kids in our financial situation. It seemed especially insulting that they would make comments in front of us kids, as if we didn't deserve to exist. It almost felt like their implication was that poor people don't deserve a chance. It sucked always working and skipping a real education, but I was able to educate later on and form a successful business. It almost seems like westerners tend to push their values onto others, instead of realizing that everyone has something of value that we could learn from them.
I thought it was cool how he paid the lady's hospital bill. That inspired me!
Wow, Mrs Tonudo didn’t even know that she can control her fertility. Just wow. They need to start teaching sex education and fertility control because having these children with no means to fully care for them only elevates the cycle of poverty. This is sad.
Within first 30 seconds of watching this, I subscribed. Thank you for showing the world such a place, it gives us courage. It shows that People can survive and flourish in worst conditions.
I don't like the question of "why do you continue having children when you know you can't afford to take care of them. He should ask that question to the man next to her . Why do you keep on getting on top of her to procreate when you know is so hard for her the process of bearing children and keeping them sustained. Men always blame the woman. She gave a great answer!
The man said he's happy he has another mouth to feed, wow! Really grateful indeed but on the other hand i think people who are poor need to be educated on the parameters of having too many kids and staying in poverty. There is a tie there.
Yes. That guy should bring them boxes of condoms.
@@greenlawnfarm5827 You hit the nail on the head!!! BRING CONDOMS!!!
I don’t know why I even bother reading the comments knowing damn well this will be in there!!! “If they’re so poor why don’t they stop having kids???” You know, if the answer was that damn simple, they wouldn’t now would they??? What? Do you just think everyone is stupid??? There’s a REASON why the poorest countries also have the highest birth rates.... I mean REASONS, as there are many! For one, their culture is completely different than in the west and without fancy pants social security programs, the responsibility to care and provide for people when they are old and sick falls to the adult children. Secondly, many poor countries are also deeply religious and birth control is seen as sinful and difficult to obtain. #3. Women in many places do not have the option to say No. and the list goes on and on and on. Just know that these “simple” answers that make so much sense to you are never truly SIMPLE. Your opinions are shaped by your particular reality.
@@christinafidance340 Did you understand what is said instead of jumping to conclusion, i said they must be educated on having too many kids if they are poor. Every society has an education system and it all starts from there. Many of the so called religious institution know there is a link between it and so do their governments. If you don't see there is a need for that type of education but you focus on the parameters surrounding it then don't blame me for speaking about it, blame those who don't like yourself. People that hold back knowledge from the poor, which might help them succeed are those that leave them hungry in dying in the multitudes while their excuse is that they just helped one man by giving him a dollar. That is the reality!
Christina Fidance thank you, some people are so stupid.

Africa needs to change serious, the way Africans think and treat each other is not good at all.
The whole farkin world needs to change...
The issues are so much deeper than just that. They have a continent that in some areas has been completely stripped of all the natural resources. With all the profits from it going to foreigners or greedy politicians. In other areas the natural resources still flow the wealth still isn’t being given to the people. Poverty creates desperate situations I see people talking about they need birth control like birth control is free. These people get up everyday & work their asses off for pennies and they do it all with a smile & hope that better days are coming.

Thank you for sharing with the world this truth. My eyes are filled with tears and my heart is heavy.
If only the water wasn't polluted this would be paradise on earth
Nah. Humans are meant to live with close access to water, not in it. Even if the water was clean, it would be FAR from paradise. Even if they had money and everything, there would be many difficulties for humans living in an area like this. Humans are not made to withstand and survive the difficulties water can make for them, which is why it surprises me that to this day and with all our history, people that have the money still live next to water for 'luxury'. New Orleans is sinking, the entire coast is in danger of hurricanes and flooding every year, etc and thats just US problems, not even considering all the water related disasters all over the world that wipe out ppl and entire villiages or towns year after year. Not to mention the diseases and pests hot humid water environments breed. You ever been out in nature around some swampy area or nasty mudhole where mosquitos are buzzing around and breeding and things like that? Now imagine living in that mudhole. Thats where these people are living. Humans would have to dw-evolve by ALOT to be properly fitted to live in a place like that and thrive lol
It’s all paradise until you catch Malaria in the summer months. Polluted water or not, that would be a problem. If your foundation collapsed in the middle of the night, you’d drown.
Proof for East Azn Messiah on this channel Keep New Orleans out of this. Where are you from so I can call it a shithole. I will not insult these good people. It's heartbreaking....why to have kids, what are you going to do with them??? Sit on swampy water???? Just don't open your legs!!!!
@@simonah2148 You do realize that most of the people in these sorts of impoverished areas don't have proper sex education, easy access to birth control, and access to good education(which is especially important for young girls and women to have, since usually women with proper education and who are able to get a good job will have fewer kids later on in their life). Not to forget the possible cultural factors that also may come into play here.
