That character is lowkey stupid. The gun cancels and grenades can lock down anybody in the cast that has weak mobility and even then.

Loved seeing Max's adaption in the Hulk/Thanos fight.. sure he still got beat but that second game was way closer.
I know it happens more often than not, but seeing Max lose is... kinda refreshing to me. In the beginning, Max was a fighting game god to me. Seeing him actually struggle against a competent opponent makes him better in my eyes, weirdly.

thats what i will never get about MvC in general. why do these games have such large viewing attendance when its just one player doing a combo you have seen thousands of times that takes like 1 min. im more about the fighting games where people actually play against each other :D
@@ich3730 Because it's more fun and hype this way. People want to see players do cool shit with each other, not just stand in one place and zone each other out...

Though honestly, outside of injustice 1/2 I can't really think of games where people actually sit and zone eachother out. Most are going head to head and toe to toe.
@@crushycrawfishy1765 If they doing the same combo but it's a long, cool looking and hard to do combo and I have no problem with that, I can even learn a thing or two from their combo. 2 people zoning is a completely different thing, it's too boring and you can't learn anything from that.

Well It Isn't Street Fighter Soooo...
With the roster we got, which pairings would you like to see get combo supers like Bucky and Cap. I was thinking:
1: Spidey and Venom ensaring the opponent like in 1994 series
2: X and Zero: Zero uses Dark Hold ala Tatsunoko and both uses Nova Strike and the Giant Z Saber shaped like an X.
3: Rocket and Gamora: summon the either Guardians, or use their Level 3s together because they're legitimately the same save for Groot and Gamora's slashes?
4: Haggar and Hulk: peforming a double surplex on the enemy.
5: Bucky and Spencer: Double Bionic Arm
6: Ultron and Sigma: An animation cinematic where they transform into Ultron Sigma and suffocate the oppoent with the Sigma Virus in their hand.
7: Chun Li and Black Widow: Double Inazuma Drop/Primary Lotus
8: Doctor Strange and Firebrand: Doctor Strange summons Phalanax, who Firebrand slams the opponent into trying to kill him.
Anyone else?

Good idea but you've teamed up some characters from both sides just based on their supers visuals, while Bucky/Cap level 3 is so awesome because of their history.
I would love to see that kind of special animation for Ryu Level 3 with .... Akuma, whose not even in the game. If you remember Tekken 5 intro where Heichachi has to briefly team up with Kazuya, despite their mutual hate, it could be something like that. Ryu shin-shoryus enemy into the air, uses tatsu to alley oop and Akuma used Raging Demon on falling opponent. Hype AF and they could exchange some canon "pleasantries". :)

I hope Capcom brings this type of gameplay to a new fighting game. Hell a new vs game with this gameplay is great. It's gameplay is too good to just die.
We need to be graced with DC vs. Capcom or Nintendo vs, Capcom. Both would be amazing crossovers I think.

Give me an MVC with an expanded UMVC3 roster but MVCI mechanics. It’s a joy watching MVCI in action for its creativity
I feel like Ultron would‘ve been a *GREAT* character in UMvC3, he looks like he has a lot of assist moves that would be just great

They could make infinite 2. Put a good budget in. Increase the roster. Improve graphics. And improve the story. Don't even need to touch the gameplay. If so. Infinite 2 will sell like crazy

How active is the online play this game on the PS4? Had it on Xbox at launch and while it was fun the online was dead.
I'll agree that space stone is the best, but Mind is up there with power, soul, and reality in a 4 way tie for 2nd

Seeing monster hunter in this game and not smash will always hurt.
They shouldn’t waste money creating another title. This game IMO is pretty fun. I love the Infinity Stone system. 3vs3 would be more fun. This game just needs to be updated with more content.
Soul gem is the best, its basically X factor or Sparking blast for this game....if you like that kinda thing and Space is easily the worse....trap a person in a box thats it

You'd think that after years of playing Infinite Juggles Online- uhh, I mean, MvC3- Max would be used to not getting to play the game.
Seems like most fighting games in general do this. Tekken, Mortal Kombat, MVCI, etc. Granblue Fantasy and Guilty Gear I'm not sure on as I haven't really looked at them. The only one I like all around so far is Killer Instinct, because it realises people like to actually *fight* in a fighting game.
@@Manglet762 That's the thing though, you're still playing the game either way. Once you get opened up, that's where you make efforts to learn the matchup or your opponent's tendency. The real problem is when a game has ToDs.
@@Manglet762 Guilty Gear actually has a Burst mechanic, that works as a combo-breaker. MvCI kinda has it too, but it's not done very well.
@@ShimmerScarlet So you spend the 10 seconds where you are able to put the controller down and have it not make a difference to learn how to make another person be able to put the controller down without it making a difference. It doesn't solve the issue of fights being so ridiculously one sided once someone breaks the others defense, especially the issue of the viewer getting bored because they now have to wait a good few seconds for the fight to get interesting again.
But hey, this is what people want, as nearly all the popular fighting games do this in some way, so apparently it's not an issue.
@@Manglet762 I don't know what to tell you man. I feel proud of myself whenever I can land a combo or freestyle one on the fly, after managing to defend properly and successfully opening up my opponent.
Combo escapes are fine as long as they are well balanced like Guilty Gear and KI, and can be punished or worked around if predicted.
Fighting games aren't for everyone I suppose

Every time Max plays this game I get the urge to play it myself. Then I start it up and remember why I don't play it much...
