    Jumping right back in!
-0:19 I love the moody start to this video with the rain on my windshield and the wet forest we are driving through. Definitely encapsulates the vibe from this trip.
-1:00 The magic of the 14-140mm lens strikes again! Still slightly kicking myself that I sold the one I had for the beautiful, macro comps like this…
    -1:19 …and this…
    -1:41 …AND THIS. WOW!
-3:13 That is one of the most relieving-looking shots ever…to be sheltered under that rock cliff during that storm was a haven for us.
-3:32 Perks of leaving the camera rolling. Great catch with the powerful thunder here. It put the fear of God in me, haha
-5:48 I love this comp here, too. So much color and texture in the water, reflections off the water, the rocks, and the vegetation
-6:06 So many good macro shots in this episode. Love it! Is this BtC or A River Runs Through It? ;)
-7:07 RIP to my fishing pole hahahahaha. My soaking wet shirt on one side gives my tumble away lol
-7:50 still can’t believe we got a fire going on that beach. The wood was terrible, but it turned out nicely!
-8:25 Haha I forgot about this! I remember being tired AF during camp. I can’t remember if I was up late packing the night before, or being in the water wiped me out, but I was legit falling asleep there haha.
-8:45 Can I start calling you the “Macro Magician” ? Haha #rightplaceattherighttime
-9:50 It was at this moment of returning back to the truck so early and so short of distance that I realized that smaller trips are a good thing for the Tribe, haha.
-10:47 Has Ale-8-One reached out yet? They need to, that’s great product placement for a sponsorship ;)
-11:12 YEAH NICK WHO IS THE ONE WHO GETS LOST MORE OFTEN NOW
    -11:46 TWSS
-11:49 There are so many minnows surrounding Nick right here. They are having a séance around The Balded One.
-11:54 Also, RIP Part 2 to my pole hahahahaha
You cemented these memories perfectly, brother! I had a blast on this slower, easier trip, and it is making me crave more of those! Although maybe we should wait until after the Cohos to ensure we are in good shape before we start! I’m slowly catching my way back up, thanks for your patience, my fellow Monetizing Brotha!

Thanks Mom! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. The amphibians were one of the best parts of the trip. I wish I had footage of the puddle full of newts. But there's some footage of the three of us being amphibious to make up for it. There's more to come after this. Just wait for the next one featuring a special guest that we both know pretty well 😉

I watched this again and got a strong feeling that when you guys were in the river, a giant water monster was going to pop up and want eat you guys!!!😂 But as the great guys that you are and so very fearless, you would all fight it off and escape unharmed😅😊❤😂

I'm pretty sure it was the giant river monster that kept biting our legs and backs! There was something in that water... It's too bad I didn't get a shot of it...

Well, we had another doozy of a storm. It's just starting to move out. Or it's coming back. But we are in the dark! No power until maybe tomorrow afternoon 😆 Welcome to camping in the house!

@@beyondthecampfire when that water is clear you can see 5 foot gars, largemouth bass and catfish suspended in that swimming hole.
I appreciate you didn't camp under the arch. Someone named Ainsley Thomas posted on AllTrails how she camped "in the cave" and posted pictures of her campsite and fire under the arch. I hope she is arrested, fined and incarcerated.

Oh boy! What a great trip! I thoroughly enjoyed reliving this one! Your narrative, shot selection, and depth of field. WONDERFUL! Did you use a new color grading option? The colors looked flatter than usual, but it worked well! Last but not least.... THOSE BLOOPERS 😂😂😂

    • @beyondthecampfire
      @beyondthecampfire  Год назад +1

Thanks brother! The ND filter is responsible for the new color grade, haha. It's a little warm, but I like it better than my usual color work 😂 I'm glad you enjoyed reliving it, because I enjoyed living it and editing it! Thanks for your contributions to the bloopers. It was a solid group this time 😁 I can't wait for our next trip. I'm dying for cooler weather and many miles on the trail.

Did you buy a pass? I feel like technically it's not required since you're outside of the loop? I've day hiked there but have not stayed the night.

We bought a pass just to be on the safe side, but I believe you're correct. We parked and camped outside the RRG area.
