How to spend a day in Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan (a must-visit!)

- a scenic lakeside town suitable for biking and temple-visiting!
Places we visited today:
⛴️ Ferry rides
- Round-lake tickets can be purchased at the pier / at most accommodation
- Ferries you around 3 piers - Shuishe, Xuanguang and Ita Thao
- recommend u to sit on the outside deck! You will get a great view of the entire lake + very windy!
🛖 Ita Thao Shopping District
- know for their food streets and aboriginal culture experiences
- Food to try: Tea18 Red Tea soft serve, millet donuts, fried cabbage mushroom buns, aboriginal snacks
🚠 Sun Moon Lake ropeway
- cable car that gives you a Birds Eye view of the lake
- the green cabin has glass floors
- Each ride is about 10 min and takes you up to the Aboriginal Culture Theme park ( which I heard is not worth to go ) and another 10 min down.
- Tbh.. nth special…can give this a miss
Most of the activities happen at Ita Thao Pier so don’t miss it out! Stores in this area close early too so remember to plan your itinerary carefully!
