Love your interpretation..Roger improvised a lot..esp live..and this piece will live on ..as will ANY signature tune..one HELL of a 12 stringer..as are you sir
Hey bud..beautiful tutorial..my group did this live on stage on a 12 / 6 double neck..during our vintage rock set..always got extremely good response..remember too..mr Mcguinn used a heavy attack from the g flat to the g ..both notes punctuated..otherwise ..right on track
I'm using a Fender Deluxe Reverb, A silver JANGLEBOX, and Reverb in the amp. I use Flatwound Wound Strings. In my opinion these strings are a must. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks Gary, a very useful lesson, and also thanks for your response regarding your set up (strings, amp etc...). Will enjoy practicing this one (sadly not on a 12 string Ric).
Great tutorial. What kind of amp are you using? Are you using any effects? Roger Mcguinn claimed his guitar sound was the result of a compressor - that's what made the ringing sound and sustain.

Do you tune your 12 to 440 Jake? I mean leave it tuned up to 440 all the time.
Yes I keep all my Rick's tuned to standard 440 pitch all the time.
@@MrGarywjacobBe careful of the exploding R tailpiece that Ricky 12's are famous for 😪
Can’t tell what you’re doing if we don’t see your picking hand too.
bites his nails.
Nails can get in the way of the strings....and there are 12 of them ;-)
