Criss Hillman had the coolest hairstyle here in this video. Mine is a slightly dialed down version of this. I get away with this because of my inherited youth looks and hair brown color which does wonders for me and can pass for early 50's at 69..LOL!

@@bobmalack481yes McGuinn is a genius musician certainly. But the innovation, particular on 8 miles high, can be attributed to Crosby exposing Roger to Shankar and Coltrane. And it wasn’t just the jingle jangle that people loved. It was the harmonies. And that’s all Crosby’s doing again. I’m not trying to take anything away from Roger I love Roger. I just resonate with everything Crosby ever made and touched

Well thats fine and dandy, but all the band menbers made musical contributions. Crosby got the heave ho from the band for his heavy handed preasure for musical direction and being stoned all the time. I still say he is overated, and was also a irritant with CSN & sometimes Y (Neil Young) with Steven Stills as Crosby's probem. @@buddysteele7624

My hair is a slightly toned down version here of Chris Hillman, full hair upstairs frizzed out. At 69 I can still get away with my inherited youth looks and brown hair dye. I Pass for 52/55 and never a dull moment with 30/40 somethings. Hillmans coolest look at the camera is at begining seconds of 'So you wanna be a Rock & Roll star' reminds me of Keith Richards looking at the camera on '2,000 light years from home' video from '67. Doesn't get any cooler than this, and honerable mentions to Mcguinn when he wore those rectangular blue 'shades' for a time, also ultra cool. Robert at 69.

So what, they all made contributions, especially Chris Hillman, bass guitar, singing, song writting, country/folk background, Mandolin player and more. At that Roger Mcguinn is the heart, soul and inovator of the Byrds. At 69 I think my opinion carrys at least a little weight. Crosby got the boot from the band for more than 1 reason, and he did not enhance CS&N & sometimes Y that much, what was his biggest hit with CSN? 'Almost cut my hair'? and also being an irritant to Steven Stills. Crosby basically just got stoned all the time. whuda YOU know?. how old are you?!

Oh sure, high harmonizing and rythem guitar. Uh the inovator and soul of the Byrds is Roger Mcguinn. You need to do a little research, how old are you? Crosby did not even impact CS&N that much. Crosby got the boot from the Byrds for a few reasons. That 12 string Rickenbacher guitar is part of Mcquinn's signature sound imput, and heavely influenced Tom Petty's singing sound. I.E. 'The hardest part' a good tune example. Robert at 69.
