It's been happening for centuries...the only times I can think of are when they had a more powerful opponent with an agenda to destroy them. Money hasn't saved everyone.
It also seems to entice victims to become girlfriends for the benefits despite abuse. They report offenses only long after they are no longer getting anything out of the perpetrator.

Does he think that by serving him, I'll get better tables in the future? No, sir. That is not how that works. That is a weird way to think about it. And wrong. Let me ask you a simple question. How much money would you need to be offered to do something heinous? Like murder of a child? If you got any amount in mind, you are possibly one of those people just not in their possition.

Why are pointing out the judicial system!? The whole nation worships money, and instantly respects people with lots of it.
