This guy had nerves of steels. Few have come and expressed so much. Is it good, that's something else. Its full in a way that very little is. Only just got it and I remember the posters around town from the early days. Can you imagine. Joy division, durutti column, the fall, John Cooper Clark, a certain ratio. All at the same time.
I just paid the most I've ever paid for a record just so I could have "Fall Heads Roll" on vinyl. Worth it for this song alone but the rest of the LP bangs.
I was born in 1973 and am not ashamed to say I am discovering The Fall now in 2021. What a present and what a joy!! It is ****ing brilliant and genuine!!
@@sergioasuncion9710 born in 1975. The Fall was too much for me in my youth. Then watching Silence of the lambs was asking what's that killer tube in the background
@@sergioasuncion9710 late starter my self its a fucking trip , enjoy yer journey, saw them a few times , not religiously but enough , i was without a doubt as drunk as he was on every occasion x peace
@@sergioasuncion9710 Born in '73 here, as well. I heard them first on a late night radio show out of Dallas, on the mighty KNON, the home of the Church of the Subgenius, in 1989, it was July or August, the summer between 9th and 10th grades. Oh my. They never let go of my brain, and I didn't kick them out. This one (Blindness) and Guest Informant. My goodness. I've carried them in my brain for over thirty years. Nice.
Fantastic bass. Love Peels answer to a popular question on which Fall album to buy,To start the collection. You have to buy them all. Was his answer. RIP John and smithy
Peel would have been absolutely gutted at missing 'The Real New Fall LP', 'Fall Heads Roll' and 'Imperial Wax Solvent'. A (second) late 2000/early 2000 trilogy of absolute bangers
Thank the lord we got this last session. I honestly think its the best Peel session ever. Crazy to think about all the other amazing ones but this one is just epic.

Oh how I miss John Peel and Mark E Smith.
I miss marc e Smith but John peel is another example of a NONCE DJ from the seventies

So glad i got to see em during this era. Closed the set with this, pounded your head in, no encore. Glorious.
Couldn't top it !
This track is a monster.
If there's a definitive Fall performance then this may just be it. Absolutely incendiary

I'm so annoyed that the Later with Jools version of this was taken off YT.
mookie2637 still there in uk
The Jools Holland version is utter shit compared to this.
@@rawheadrex8487 Maybe, but we got to see Robert Plant acting pretentious and then The Fall kick in and everyone can feel embarrassed for poor Robert.
I was watching it last night.
The exception to the rule, even the 2014 Live In Clitheroe Ozshit LP sound better than this. Still fantastic, though.
