I think another big thing about Harry Mack is that he is such a good person. His energy is positive, and as he stated before, his goal is to lift people up. That is his mission and the last session with the 420 girl is a very good example of the fact that he reached that goal.
15:40 About HM having a 20 yr databank to draw rhymes from: I have been hearing SO MUCH Harry MAck that I am starting to hear patterns.... It is like he has thousands of leading half bars and thousands of following half bars... and he can mix and mach them at will making them fit any scenario... He just does this off the back. What is incredible is how he then takes all theese halfbars and twist them into themes and different points of view.
But just like he had his "Ayo Im Harry Mack..." comfort phrae he now has thousands of halfbars as comfort phrases. I recognize SO many halfbars from previous frestyles but he never combines the same halfbars twice, there is allways a twist!
This combined with endless cadences, and flows and you've got GOAT!
That’s incredible. It’s like coding,, unlimited combinations in the matrix of bars and rhymes. Super dope! obviously I haven’t seen as many videos because most of the stuff I wait to do reactions to but that’s really cool information to know. I’ll be looking out for this stuff as we keep reacting.
@@BlackPegasusRaps one of the most obvious eksamples of a following halfbar is the one where "something goes over your head"... he has lead into that in so many different ways... but he has also used it as a lead in phrase saying things like I'm going over your head... just like a balled spot... But in the end it is basicly the one of the "tools" he pulls up whenever he can rhyme with "head" in some specific situation. -And he ofcourse got multiple of theese "backbone bar templates" for every word in the dictionary...
Others worth mentioning is:
Going/being/taking you underground -When talking about heavy bass, being independent, or stealth whatever. You recently heard him use that one in the luigi rap with the pipe, and you also heard it in his Rap Coltrane EP where he went underground while letting the thunder pound.... finally i remembered one from two different occations!
Bringing sacred sounds/flows/styles etc
Bringing/letting Thunder pound... He actually combined that one with the sacred sound once...
There is many more, its just hard thinking of them on the spot when you are not Harry Mack...
Anyways at some point you will start to realize that he comes back to alot of bars and rhynes again and again, but he always manages to twist them to fit the specific situations...

I noticed that too! I'm not a rapper, but was an English major and a student of poetry. The more poetry you read, the more poetry you think. I imagine it's like that... He also has common themes like balance and control. But I'm curious if anyone wants to educate me because I don't know about this at all really, are there references to the specific things in the room an old school way of demonstrating that you're making up your flow on-the-spot? Or is it a way to engage with the audience? Or both?

But yes, in oldschool frestyle battle rap, bringing up something you could see your opponent do or wear or say definetly was a way to prove to the audience that your raps were made up on the spot and not prewritten and rehersed.... It allways makes the crowd go wild when they can hear that you are grabbing things out of the air in the heat of the moment... And our brains are prewired to find comfort when we recognize things so it is a natural way of pulling in ppls attention. -Just like when you give someone a compliment in a conversation or vocally agree to their points or even refer/quote what they said....
it is basicly classic psychological conversation hacks...
And that is the most crazy thing about HM: How he takes EVERYTHING into consideratiion naturally: keeping listeners engaged using a wide range of psychologic tricks and empathic senses. Keeping things clean and accessible for all types of listeners. ALWAYS bringing smiles and positive messages. Never disses anyone except "Theese rappers" - a faceless nominator for imagined foes or challenges.... Turning swearwords on and off depending on the crowd, basing his flows and technique levels off the listener; More simple but hyped beats with clear punchlines and flows for ppl who are not rap conneseurs and more complicated rhymes and, flows and schemes for those who know...
and he does all this while rapping at a pace most rappers can't do even when rehersed.... and his jaz drumming improv background gives him endles flows to pull out from nowhere...
He is a mindblowing unicum...

I enjoy the freestyle from both of you as well. On the flip side, I was listening to a show from 2 years ago and was surprised to hear your rap include politics in this crazy divided nation we're in now. Another GREAT CONVERSATION! I think there is a kind of brain that not only knows a lot, but is just exceptionally well cross-referenced. I know he is a savant, but yes is a small part hat is a kind of a "trick" in the way that when I do stand up I can pull things in that I have stored in my cheek like a squirrel, and amazing he audience. That said, this is however on another level.

I think BP improved so much since reacting on HM. I feel more energy every BPs freestyle.
Sometimes I feel like BP is thinking "What would HM do?" during freestyle. Like impersonalising into somebody else saying yourself "It's not me freestyling, its Harry The GOAT". And I got a feeling it works cause you don't put all that presure on yourself so you can be much more openminded and feel little bit more like a spectator. 1:02:22 was one of theese moments where he was really deep in.
Don't wanna say BP's a copycat. It's freestyle, you can't copy anything. Just feeling that HM inspiration and big progress.

What's funny about this is what I imagine it's the same reason people like reaction videos. It triggers the empathy centers in our minds to see somebody else reacting to something in the way that we do so we get to kind of experience it again for the first time. Like I just said above, the more you read poetry, the more you think in poems. It probably just sparks the neural pathways.
