Cris, childhood Christmas time memories are some of the most precious memories we have. For those of us who had parents that took a lot of pictures during those wonderful childhood years, we can go back and relive those long ago times by looking through our old photo albums.
“The only Constant is Change.”
That old expression is SO true! When we remember our past, especially cherished memories of Christmas long ago, nothing can compare to those days and so much from those times is long gone.
Cris, hold on to those cherished memories you have! They are your History, they are your Past, and they helped you to become the wonderful person you are today.
You don’t need to explain yourself or justify yourself to anyone! Those people in your life who truly care about you will understand just how much those memories mean to you. I know Jay will back me up on that.
You are entitled to your opinions, and if they are different from others, so be it. Your experiences are just as valid as anyone else’s.
Take care of yourself. The Holidays can be stressful times. Remember the Past, Cherish the Past, for we can only ever return to the Past, in our Memories.

I have similar memories of Christmas at Disney World. I still have 2 pair of the cardboard viewing glasses from the Osborne Family light display at MGM. I can still see angels with them when I look at Christmas lights! Before the Magic Kingdom had the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas, I remember they would telecast the Christmas parade. Christmas at EPCOT was always special with the light displays and my favorite place was the Germany pavilion where we once bought a traditional pickle ornament. I have some pictures my husband took of my son and I at the Magic Kingdom for Christmas around 1984. Such special memories that will never be the same...

I just wanted to say that today has been a trying day and I came home and watched this episode and immediately felt calm. You and Tampa Jay really have an impact on people in a good way and my anxiety level is so much lower. I just wanted to thank you for you guys just being yourselves and in love, but appreciating what you’ve been through And where you’ve come to now. And for that keep on posting videos because you are making a difference. FLAMINGOOOOO! 🦩

Thanks for sharing and yes sometimes things change and not for the better. I feel that way about things that I remember as a child that my daughter can only hear about now and not experience.
I loved the Osborne family lights and really miss them. I also miss the soundstages and backlot tour. They were the things that made it seem like a working studio. One time when we went there, they were taping Mickey Mouse Club and my daughter went to the taping. Such a great experience with all the cast members who became famous!
I feel the same about the hatbox ghost. Not just where it is located but it really wasn’t necessary to even add it at all. And I remember the cast member parties when I was a kid, mostly the photo op with Santa and the green plastic netted stocking filled with generic candy they would give out, but not brand name candy like they do for Halloween now 😂
Christmas story everyday is way better than Hell o ween for 4 months. Thank you.
My son is deployed and my daughter is on Long Island working hard as a trauma nurse. We are not together Christmas but August when my son gets out of the military. So it is just my youngest daughter ( the one who loves all schpooky things like you) lol!😊 husband and myself. I take what is and try to not get upset. Family is everything. Find joy in everything even if it just yourself and your cat.
YES! I used to say the most beautiful things number one was Grand Canyon number 2 was the Castle with lights at Christmas. That was amazing!! So sad it is a has been 😢

Another great video Cris! It makes me sad every time I think about how dream lights and Osborne lights are no longer a thing. I agree Jollywood should most definitely be a normal park hour thing.
I agree with so much of your commentary on this vlog Cris! ESPECIALLY that they can get rid of allllll the Star Wars area just to give me Osborne Lights back!! I was there the final night on January 3, 2016 too- and have been missing it every day since.😔 Osborne Lights was our inspiration for our own Christmas display of dancing lights that we do at our own home now.❤️

Adorable family photos! The last photo I took with my entire family was at my oldest sister's wedding...25 years ago. Yeah, it also included my brother-in-law's family, too, but we were all together! My parents passed away eight years ago.

I have been dealing with so much that stress has been with me since September, I know you will understand and I always support you cause I now know those feelings and much has also involved my bro, dealing with meds changing and anxiety as well. I lived this, Cris. It brought back many memories. My first disney trip was in December 1998 and i really remember the Epcot lights that danced. I have photos myself but not as good as yours.
I too so miss the castle lights the ice lights! There was nothing like it! And the Osborne lights and the winter lights at Epcot were really amazing. Things have changed too much. Those were magical. I don't feel the magic the same way
Did you ever get a photograph from that shop where they put you on a magazine cover? I worked in that shop for a while back in those days
I don't even remember when it was our last time that we rode the monorail to MK.
And we love taking the ferry to MK too.

I miss those lights so much over the castle. I hate the projections so much. Over kill.
Yeah I'm bummed about the Hat Box ghost too. I just hate that it takes away from the hallway. And they took away the awesome chair! 🤢
My old co workers would always bring up how much they missed the cast parties for MK.
Thanks for the reminder of the park hopping, completely forgot about that and will come in handy for our next trip.

I miss Osbourne lights and Lights of Winter at Epcot so freaking much. I'll never forgive them for that and I love Star Wars but no, they should have placed it somewhere else.
The poodles have been there for a while now for the holidays whenever it was that studios decided to decorate for the holidays.
Love the Muppets! Or shoot new seats? Goes to tell you how long it's been since we've been to studios lol 😅 I hope it never goes away too.
I'm glad people were recording things back then too so we can go watch them on the RUclipss. It's not the same but glad they're there to go back.
A lot of people were saying it was a huge cash grab and it does feel like that without being there. I'm telling you, I bet in a few years they're going to have all the parks with a paid event for the holidays. And some people will keep on paying it unfortunately.
I wouldn't mind it as much if they didn't half ass it. Cause we would save up for it IF we knew it was going to be a good deal. I rather do the party at MK.
I'm glad Hamm is back as a cookie in Toystory Land. He's so cute.
For me, it's been hard as well for the memories but I'm glad I have pictures and memories if that makes any sense. They're all in my heart and in the back of my mind always.
I'm also for change as long as it's done right. Sadly not a lot of their ideas have been great. But some have been awesome like the living with the land overlay. It's so cute. BUT with that said, I'm also happy to make new memories.
Gosh I miss LOW. 😭 It did dance to music and when I worked at Tip Board, it was always fun to watch them. I miss the old music loop too. Hate that they got rid of Innoventions for whatever this new area is.
Fun fact, you can listen to all the old Epcot music at Tokyo Disney Sea. 😂 We were so shocked when we heard it!

I hate that the fiber optic lights are gone, they were my favorite and I always loved seeing the kiddos and adults enjoy them.

I agree with you that I lot of vloggers are always 100% enthusiastic about Disney and their updates….it’s fake and I know they just don’t want to state what they REALLY think because they won’t get invited out for free invites to events.

I’m new to your channel Cris. I became aware of you through the Adam the Woo channel. Clearly listening to you and your nostalgia sentiment is your truth and you have formed your opinion from justifiable beliefs. I believe I heard in between the controversial assertions that your memories are cherished and will not be demolished by any Disney lust for profit. Hopefully this video was part of a release of those animosity feelings and you on your way to resignation and acceptance, positioning you to the possibilities for new memories to come in the future. As you said, live in the present and find the value within it. Your independence is of value and I suspect your viewers sense it. 👍🏼🎄❤
Thank you so much for giving my channel a watch! Ultimately, the best parts of my memories are spending time with my family, and thankfully I still have them around to continue doing so. I make new memories with them every day & am always eternally grateful for that. Disney was and is just a place, but the time with my family is eternal & priceless. It honestly seems like Disney does not care about the people who can only rarely make that vacation to Disney. It seems like the fact that Disney STILL nickel and dimes you since COVID, and has never let up, with that , getting worse, is so sad. To someone like you and your family that has had these parks be so much a part of your lives; that sadness must be magnified.
You are not alone when it comes to Star Wars land. I do, understand though, that it did boost a tanking MGM Studios. Some of these park changes, however, are not necessarily for the better. The treatment of cast members has gone downhill, and Pass Holders don’t seem to have the perks they should. Your investing a good chunk of your money annually, and you don’t get your due. EPCOT, and what they’ve done there is a rant for another time! I was hoping Moana would be a step in the right direction. Anyway…
I highly doubt DL/DW will be around in 10 years. These parks are slowly going out of business - ever since being linked with Epstein and G. Maxwell. It's why they won't use tons of lights anymore (too costly) and why prices are jacked beyond. I hate bursting anyone's bubble, but these parks were linked to nefarious goings-on. Cherish your memories.
