    I "left the building" 7 years ago. Needed relationship, not religious institution. Never missed the superficial Sunday morning experience (except for the corporate worship - but not the "teaching" & lack of relationship). It took a while. There were times of isolation, but I've learned how to flow better in the Spirit. I have also been in the best Sabbath home group ever for 1.5 years now. It feels more real to me now (and I occasionally visit Sunday "church" with my kids).

    For 52 years I've been a Jesus girl .. but through these past 38 months, God has crushed & broken my heart wide-open to Who He really is. I now truly do BELIEVE Him! Life Today & Francis are 2 of the sharpest tools God has used to begin the process of healing, transforming & renewing my mind & heart. As I thank our Lord for you, I am earnestly praying that you will remain strong in the Spirit..& that words may be given you so that you will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Yes!

    Francis was not the only pastor at Cornerstone. We have a half dozen pastors at least, and Todd Nighswonger is really the elder that ran everything. The flock is well taken care of, and we support his move.

    Keep listening and obeying the Holy Ghost. Stay humble. Bless you and your wife. I pray you have A ear to hear A heart to receive and A spirit to obey our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I just came out of membership in churches to fellowship. Being delivered from Vanity and pride. Realizing that's not the Truth. Jesus Christ was humble and didn't desire reputation just the WILL OF THE FATHER. It's very hard to give up and truly stand on the word of God and obey the Holy Ghost. Apostle Paul say denying And crucifying our flesh daily. The Truth is Love.

    It all started with Crazy Love, I believed I knew God before but wow I had no clue how different this relationship should be and God has moved in my life like I could never have imagined. Since reading Crazy Love I have held two Crazy Love studies given it to all my friends and employees, I've been baptized and I am completely living for the Lord and allowing Him to direct my path. Words can't explain my gratefulness to Francis for his devotion and how he is changing people for God!!!

    I know this video is several months old, and I'm just finishing "Crazy Love" for the first time now. But I want to take a moment to thank Francis for being faithful to what God has had him doing, and let him know I'm praying for whatever it is that God has for him next. I completely support following God before all else, and often taking some time in between moves is very healthy and helps focus. Bless you!

    Nice to see a man open about his journey with God. Honest about uncertainty and humble enough to admit what he spent so much effort on wasn't resembling what church looks like in scripture...I'm not a critic...I'm an admirer.

    The greatest things in life are the things we don't plan, right? The things we do plan and try to manipulate are the ones that end in failure. Let God shape and direct your plans. Let God be the King.

    In religion, faith often involves accepting claims about the character of a deity, nature, or the universe. While some have argued that faith is opposed to reason, proponents of faith argue that the proper domain of faith concerns questions which cannot be settled by evidence.
    CANNOT BE SETTLED BY THE EVIDENCE. Example You CANNOT PROVE EVOLUTION IS SUPERIOR TO CREATION THOUGH YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SHOW THAT SOME PEOPLES IDEA OF CREATIONISM MAY BE FAULTY.
    My view of Creation isn't faulty.

    Paul left Churches that he formed and planted, did he not? What is this about not leaving your flock stuff. Local churches are a smaller unit of the Church. Perhaps he is being promoted by the boss.

    Job 24:13-17 {13} They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof. {14} The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief. {15} The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face. {16} In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light. {17} For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.

    Yes, Francis, there is something more the Lord wants of his church... It is to obey all of his Commandments right from the beginning of his words, not just what the church tells you to obey. If you haven't heard this from his spirit yet, keep digging in the word and searching out for the whole truth. He's calling out Israel and showing us who we are, calling us back to the ancient paths, calling us back to obey his Torah! Hear o Israel the Lord our God is one and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and strength. He who loves me obeys my Commandments. May all of Israel hear him calling us out of Babylon!

    Proverbs 20:24 "If a man's steps are of the LORD, how then can he understand his way." Have we figured God out so well to presume that He would NEVER do something unusual or unorthodox or even "unbiblical". I put quotes around that because as much as scripture is our guide, more often then not we use the term "unbiblical" as a cop out to box the work of God in. When in fact, in scripture God is often discreet in his purposes, but direct in His will. Ezekiel, go hide your underwear under a rock.

    We either base our 'confidence' on reason (evident probabilities, past experience, competence, etc) or we base our beliefs on faith, which is blind by definition. Faith is the most dishonest position it is possible to have, because it is an assertion of stoic conviction that is assumed without reason and defended against all reason. If you have to believe it on faith, you have no reason to believe it at all.

    What happens when you die? Have you told lies, stolen, used God's name in vain(10 Commandments)? If yes, then you're a liar, thief, and a blasphemer in the sight of God. When you die & be judged by God, you'll be guilty of sin, & go to Hell! But God sent His Son Jesus to shed His blood & die on a cross for your sins, He was buried & rose again from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus died for your sins,was buried & resurrected)you'll not perish & have eternal life

    Hey fellow god-loving people!!! Please help.
    I never understood these parts in the bible... In Genesis, it sates that god separated the waters from above from the waters below with the firmament or expanse. Does this mean we have a sky ocean? Didn't they know about water evaporating, going to the sky as a gas and then returning back to the liquid phase to give us rain?
    Genesis also says our moon shines its own light. We now know that the moon only reflects the light it captures from the sun.
    Genesis also states that light was created before the sun was created. How is that possible at all?
    Genesis also states that our sun is different from other stars. We now know that stars are just like our sun, only they are so far away they look like lights and not a sun.
    Then in Revelations, a sign of the second coming of god is that the stars would fall down to earth. Since we know that stars are suns, it is impossible for them to fall to earth. The Earth would be swallowed up and destroyed immediately.
    Can anyone help me with this? My love for god is hanging by a thread here. I feel like if these explanations of nature could be so wrong, then what makes it logical to continue reading the bible as it is true. What if it was all made up?

      Alejandro Ocampo find an answer?

    • @alextv8975
      @alextv8975 7 лет назад

      Mary Amos. All the answers I've gotten were that those passages are figurative or allegorical stories and not literal. Which really doesn't make sense because the bible, in many different places throughout the book, always claims that the word of the lord is perfect, right? So I feel that them being called figurative or allegory is just a modern excuse from religious people to turn the blind eye in the face of these errors.
      Think about it. Do you think that people from 1000 - 2000 years ago believed the bible to contain some figurative stories? Or did they believe in it with 100% certainty because they didn't have the scientific discoveries yet to tell them the bible has errors?

    • @amos.m1286
      @amos.m1286 7 лет назад

      I understand your concerns but there are genuine answers for them. I will find them and will also share my opinion on it.
      Just remember, that the word of God is perfect and that if you don’t understand something then ask god to reveal it to you but you have to come with an open heart and ask god to bless you with knowledge, wisdom and understanding.
      Also, remember that as long as we are on this earth, there is always something to know about god, you cannot possible know EVERYTHING about God.. so keep that in mind. That if something doesn’t always make sense right now, that it may just be one of those things you may not know in this lifetime. So don’t let it feed in your doubt or anything negative like that.
      In regards to your question, I listened to a sermon about the creation story and love a couple weeks, so I’ll try and find the link and send it to you so you can listen to it and it might be able to answer some of your questions.
      But remember, that God is your father so if man cannot answer your questions bring it to god and use this moment of confusion to get closer to god in prayer or while you are reading the bible
      Bless ❤️❤️

    • @alextv8975
      @alextv8975 7 лет назад

      Mary Amos. I'm not such a big fan of allowing pastors or junior pastors or any of the related to explain to me how they think the bible should be interpreted. Most of the explanations they provide are contorted to make sense of passages that clearly drop the ball.
      My genuine conclusion is that the authors of the bible wrote the bible in a time of very little understanding of the natural world. They wrote passages like the sort I mentioned above that were riddled with errors and I find that they did this out of their own imagination and attempt in explaining natural phenomena. I don't believe that anything divine exists because of this. All the authors claim to have gotten divine inspiration, the same divine entity that created the universe. If that were true, then simple explanations of nature wouldn't be wrong. Since they are wrong, I have good reason to believe that they made up all of their information, including divine entities.
      You tell me that god is my father and I should get closer to him. I truly mean this with respect: I feel that you say that from years of being told that by your elders, be it your parents or pastors or priests, and so you believe it. I'm sorry but I don't subscribe to a religious devotion dictated by my elders. I stopped that 5 years ago. What I mean is, I don't need others to tell me what I should believe, how I should believe it, and what I shouldn't believe. I can read for myself.

      Hey there! There is a big difference between being in A church and being part of THE Church. The Church is not just a building, it is the Assembly of God as a whole. All who follow Christ with all of their heart and mind are apart of the Church. Modern churches are a great resource to grow and to study scripture more but simply being apart of one is not a criteria for being saved by the Messiah and becoming part of His Kingdom:)
