Flounder Fishing New England - August Road Trip
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 окт 2024
- Days 1 and 2 of a trip north I made with Tan in mid August. Was hoping to find something good up there but didn't see what we were looking for, did get a chance to jig some fluke, ended up with 3 nice keepers and a load of shorts, the 2 largest fluke of the day came on big soft plastics, while the gulp produced smaller fish.
The next 3 months are some of the best of the year to fish, cooler weather, shorter days, storms and bait migrations will create some epic bites at the right time and place.
Rod/Reel: Shimano Tiralejo 9'6 with a Penn Clash 5000
Music: Jeff Kaale, Lonely but Okay / lonely-but-okay
Well done, I seen this vid a few times previously and it's still fun to watch.
Now you know you can catch crabs from other places than a nightclub.
Awesome vid cool to see you fishing and filming the same waters I started filming.
So much fun watching your videos. I feel like I'm really there... until the video ends that is.. then I'm brought back to the reality that I'm not fishing!!!
Dude keep on the grind.. dont give up on this channel always been killer. Watch these videos to feel closer to the season spring ...hopefully we have a killer 2023 season buzzards bay/ RI sound up down this coast let's go!
Probably one of the most productive wall spots on our area. Stripers, Blues, Banito, False Albie's, Flounders, Fluke, Sea Bass, Scup, Mackerel. Most of my late spring peak summer is spent there. Good call headed there on your trip.
Where ever you go...you just slay the keepers! good job!
My favorite video so far this year for fluke fishing. Great job catching those 3 keepers!
thanks!
Great vid your content dominates all other fishing channels
Love watching you fish and do your thing, You'd make a good fishing TV show
man I like your videos, probably the best one.
Really enjoy your videos. Learned a few things in each video.
WOW! those birds wanted that flounder as much as u did.
Very good video, i like this kind of video, thanks.
Gotta love that 9'6 tirelajo... I use mine to fish a 1oz jig with a fluke for hybrid striped bass here in ohio. Tight lines!
Dog fish are the thickest in July and August up north ! They aren't bad on the grill with BBQ sauce ! You need to clean and ice them immediately though !
Very good video. I like the time-lapses and the editing was dope too
Word, bruh.
I've had one of those Bucktail jigs for 20-30 years now I know what is good for
awesome. i think its really great how you tell the newbees how to fish with the buck tail.
Awesome video! Perfect time to release because I'm heading down to cape cod for stripers, blues, bonito, scup, fluke and am really excited! also fishing for black sea bass.
Hey if u ever don't have your tape measurer then you can just line up ur gulp flukes and count the inches depending on how big each gulp is which it says on the package
That's a clutch tip!
love your videos man! cant wait till this heatwave ends. i need to get back out there!
great driving time-lapse you should keep doing those i really enjoyed it
Dogfish are not bad eating just bleed them real well. Looks like you guys had a good day. Nice video!
Yet again another quality video
Great editing, love the time laps at the beginning.Keep it up man.Great fishing!! :D
Looks like a fine spot to fish...nice job.
Awesome video!! I spend a lot of time in Cape Cod in the summer(house in Dennis) if you ever need a place to crash and some great beaches to fish, I'd be happy to help!
Good spot to catch porgy on cape cod
Those crabs in that flounder was hilarious
Nice vid ! The striped bass is blowing up here in MD it's insane. gonna capture some vids this weekend. Hopefully they're still there
Your good.sizeing up on baits next fall for sure

nice congrats
Love your videos! I enjoy hearing names for fish I've never heard before. the Kingfish are Whiting thing had me like... huh?!?! Lol. Come do some big Reds and sharks down south with me bro! Charleston, South Carolina.
Damn you getting artsy with your vids man loving it
nice video really good editing job and the music fit so well keep up the good work
Dammnn son your living the life.
Dang, Sea! I was getting worried that you quit fishin! Good to see another upload ;) JK man, great vid. Keep at it.
very well put together, keep up the good work man
In my experience, especially expensive/scented baits (other than like stink baits for catfish) are not more effective than anything else, it's just confirmation bias. Sometimes the gulp will work great, sometimes a plain fluke will. That's why we have all this variety of tackle.
Content getting better everyday!
awesome video bro!! love when that drags screams
right on Sea money another great vid. I'm on the west coast so I like to see how others fish. although we don't have the same exact species of fish you have we do have species that are very similar to those you were catching. the flounders a lot like the California Halibut and that Kingfish is a lot like the corbina we have out here
yep and that fish in your profile pic is very similar to our tautog! thanks man
Can't wait for next vid
Great vid! Maybe a small bucket instead of a stringer to keep those pesky crabs away!
I love your channel
Aaaah my neck of the woods, here we go
Point Judith rhode island......very nice Fluke
Wow.. I wish i could catch flounder like that here in southern California
amau5 fan New England fishing is some of the best in nation
In my opinion best RUclipsr I've ever watched great videos man
You are so funny pal picking up those crabs. Those suckers are expensive at the bait and tackle shop dude.
Good video. Waiting for the next 24 hour challenge video. Note to self - Get a rod ruler on that rod
Thats funny, the last time I fished the west wall I only caught dogfish as well. This past april/may I was there one day an everyone was smashing little schoolie bass close to the beach but mostly I feel like the west wall is a scup spot, see alot of guys walking away from there with a buckets full.
Those crabs were wild!
you're video are great
shylemu jones same with your grammar
You're grammar are great.
Gulp should be sending you free stuff for sure so you never run out.
those kingfish are awesome and we call em whiteing in the south
good eating
I saw you guys the other night loading up your car parked next to you..Thought you looked familiar.Been watching your channel for pointers. From Harrisburg area.I was going fishing right before dark there on the wall. There are lots of dog fish there from what I am told..We got some blues and acouple small stripers the night before and I got some blues the night I saw you guys.Did not try for flounder or scup.Scup are everywhere it seems, got acouple nice scup at pt. Judith..Fished the WW again Wed. night but nothing.Good to know about the flounder there.Should of had your korkers.I got a pair this year.Sad I had to come home.Goo to know how easy to get the crabs.
cool man, yea this was our best day of the 3 we were there, the next 2 got progressively worse... mainly the wind got stronger and stronger.
I can't wait till you make another vid @Sea-Money Fishing
great video, keep up the good work
big bait,, big fish,,,good bite...
In Rhode island. Big bait for big fluke. And the possibility of a big striper. ☮️
Ty bro
Striped bass. STRIPED! No one calls 'em sea bass up here. Get it right, dudes! ;-)
nice keep the good work up
Good video. Yeah sonnnnn!
Looks like the bigger the bait, the bigger the fluke!
you need a pair of korkers bro be safe on that jetty snot
That Quint shirt is sick!
OH MAN JUST CAN'T GET AWAY FROM THEM DOGS LOL....
i have actually been told by quite a few culinary experts that sea robins aka red gurnard are frigging delicious. not alot of meat just two strips along the back but its super super tasty. next time i hit the jersey shore and get a couple big ones im definitely gonna try it. hell I'll try almost any fish once
Ive heard the same thing, I haven't eaten one yet but heard theyre really good
diggin the long videos..
Great video man
Awesome!!!!!!
the crab part is the best hahah
Awesome vid, subbed after 3 minutes
I know it’s an old video but the name of the game up here for fluke is either a green bucktail with a strip of squid or a scup rig on the bottom.
Great vid, I really liked your production efforts. I went to the University of Rhode island and fished the same spots you were fishing many times. Fishaholic has a vid of catching a 25lb striper and a 30lb striper off that same wall. I hope you traveled around that area a little bit there is some amazing fishing within 10 miles of the spot you were in, both ways up and down Rt 1 from where you were. As for the bonito / albacore they generally are there at this time of year just not quite shoreline accessible though, a few more weeks and the water will be boiling with them. While the spot you were in is popular and productive for them I personally have done better in Narragansett bay off Newton Ave and similar side streets. Korkers are a must in that area.
awesome info man, appreciate it, I fished up past scarborough a bit and was wondering if those tunoids make their way up there, I really like it all around RI/Mass, will definitely be back sometime soon
yeah, in between scarborough and the narragansett town beach is where you really want to be for Albies, Bonito, Tog, Stripers and Scup. I had an FA that went almost 15lbs a few years ago in that stretch. Dave Pickering www.ristripedbass.blogspot.com has THE absolute best lures / technique for catching real big #'s and lbs in that area. Highly recommended that you check out his blog posts for the months of Sept & Oct years past, not so much last year it wasn't so good anywhere, but 2-3 years ago was wild.
thanks man!
Great editing Chris.
great vid
A good idea is to mark from the but of the rod up, so you use it to measure the catches
cool video. if your interested in hundreds of tadpoles that are about pinky sized right now give me a shout. I'm in jersey about 20 min from the Trenton makes the world takes bridge. they were the best bait for bass when I used to freshwater fish. a friend let the swimming pool go and yesterday I saw it was full and I mean full of tadpoles. bring a net and a bucket and take em all lol
thanks for the offer haha!
Just to let you know, Sea Robins are great eating!
YO SEA-MONEY!!!! What up SON! lol... Big fan of your channel and your compilation vidz with Romo, Elias & FishAholics. I live in Boston and if you guys ever want to hook up and do some fishing, hit me up! I know of some great spots . Should be good material for your channel. I'm also in the mist of creating my channel too. I hope we all can make some compilations some day. Us Nor'eastern RUclips Angler's need to stick together and make some bomb ass video! LOL

I live in New England and I just went snapper fishing... It went well
Sweet video saw you passed through CT are you in RI🎣👊🏻🤘🏻
you ought to do a trip on one of the party boats over there one time
I've caught bait to catch dinner before. But never caught dinner to catch bait haha guess that worked out good by accident
When you order 'fish and chips' in Britain you are getting dogfish and chips. Dogfish are good to eat.
