  • A rare day in NJ when the weather forecast holds and the fluke fishing is on! Caught a limit and watched my buddy Romo @ / romo7493 land his PB Fluke! His fish was 27.75" and somehow brought the boga down to graze the 10lb line, that lucky motherf*cker! They bit bluefish and only bluefish, gulp saw no keepers this day, which is quite suspicious.

    I just got across this video and I must say, I am impressed.
    You catch the flounder, you kill it, and than you measure it on video...
    I don't know East coast game rules but, aren't you suppose to measure it soon after you get it out of the water?
    Just saying...

    Man what a catch, I’m just surprised something has not come a long and stripped off everything on your stringer. Looks like a lot of fun. I don’t think I could have turned that ten pounder loose!! He would have ended up in the pan and ultimately in my belly. Good luck and catch a lot of fish.

    At the very least, they are called Summer Flounder. Fluke is the common name in the Northeast.

    • @1973Saved
      @1973Saved 6 лет назад +1

      Yup, up here in New England we also have "winter flounder", a very different fish, so we call these babies "Fluke" so the person we're talking to knows which fish we're talking about, or "Summer Flounder" if they don't know what a "Fluke" is.

      Knock it on the top of it's head with a club ( sold at tackle shops ) to knock it out . Then bleed it. More humane than this Dumbo in a kayak .

  • @papasstuff6381
    @papasstuff6381 6 лет назад +1

    I can't believe you are happy about releasing a fish that had a rope threw it's gills . And before you try to say it was "OK" , why did you cut the gills on you're fish !

  • @jackiefitzpatrick2906
    @jackiefitzpatrick2906 4 года назад +1

    I knock my fish out with a small club before I bleed them . I don't like my fish suffering as I slash their gills . They're feeling it and you know it. A knock to the head , they're unconscious and then I bleed them . Taking scissors to it's gills ,not stunned seems cruel.

  • @XJbird316X

I am glad to see that these guys agree but i think you should have returned him a little earlier. he seemed to sink not swim away. please be careful.

    Dont hook your bucktail on your guides on your rod. It can scrape the guide and put a bur on it and can cause it to rub the line going in and out. Could cause a break. I see the light house in the back ground. Are you in LBI? If so i have been killing the fluke in the bay with bunker strips.

    Get a piece of heat shrink tubing and put it on the end of your string. It will make the end stiff. That will make it easier to push through the fishes mouth. Make it at least six inches long to be able to make it all the way through.

    You don't want to use a stringer off a kayak in Florida, unless you want to attract sharks and gators.

    Excuse my ignorance but is there any concern of sharks with your fish on a stringer right next to you in the water?

    Dude....if you want to keep subscribers..answer their questions . You've got tons of questions...and only a few responses from you . They're depending on you for advice and your ignoring them. Look at other fishing channels . Alot of their questions are answered ...yours ..you chose to ignore . Do your subscribers a favor and answer their questions.

      He gets too many questions and has too many viewers to possibly answer all the questions. If he had only one video with 10 subscribers then you would have a point. Maybe silence yourself as you have no idea whats its like to be popular on RUclips. Bossy bitch run your own channel and shut the fuck up lol

    In Texas we do not cut there gills. That way if you lose your stringer they live.
