When Kaz hugged Kairo when he was crying was so cute!!! I love how Devale allows his boys to show their emotions. I say Devale because most men don't allow their sons to feel!!
Right. And they should. As a mom,I tell my sin it is ok to show his emotions. And I love how Devalle explains to his sons why. Rather than yell at them, The reason why.

I love how she allows him to be a father without stepping in and always showing the boys motherly love.
I love the lesson "2 ears, 1 mouth, Listen twice as much as you talk" ! Priceless!!! Love seeing a black family giving space to their children to have and label emotions and then respecting the "personhood" of their children by being gentle and reaffirming . Love your family dynamics and LOVE to see the display of affection, connection and fun. So proud of who you guys are and your content that empowers and uplifts!

Kudos bro…. On discipling your kids the correct way. So many of us have stopped doing so. This is why our society has gone in the wrong direction. And kudos to Kay for having the respect for you as the father and leader of your family to be able to do so.

I'm glad you shared that comment....I homeschool my daughter who has autism....so it's often challenging to hold her attention and focus very long with books...so this would be a great idea to use for one of her Social Studies homeschool assignments....thank you for the great idea. 👍🤗

I just love The Ellis Family. It's amazing to see this! The parenting style is beautiful because it's all LOVE. These kids are going to truly benefit from the spiritual fruit and life lessons their parents provide daily. It's clear that GOD is all over the Ellis Family.

I just started watching your vlogs and I truly love how you are traveling with your handsome boys and teaching them about history and life in general. Also, I love how Devale talks to Kaz about learning to listen and the kiss he gave him on the mouth. Not too many fathers do that. I admire him for showing love for his son that way.

The Grand Canyon is definitely other worldly. It's breathtaking and as Devale said does not look real. I have a spiritual experience every time I visit and there's still so much I haven't seen there.

It's cool that they affirm their feelings. They seem to make it a priority for their kids to understand that even though they are parents and are in charge, the feelings of the kids still matter and are valid.
