What a great day, PS I leant my back pack up against me whilst stood by the car and it got me all wet. I did not wet myself 🤣🤣🤣🤣 My bag made me wet 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We believe you! Absolutely fabulous day.
Great finds well done got potential that tip
Thank you. Yes great potential.
The southern railway was disbanded in the 1940s when the companies became british rail. Did you notice that lovely cast iron bracket when you were looking at the tooth at about 19 minutes?
Interesting, thank you. No I did not.
I spotted that before you showed the tooth. It was just above a bit.
Really great great video Doug and Jacqui, that’s an amazing spot and it should keep producing well into the future! I think there will be some really special finds under all that silt. Thoroughly enjoyed the watch and you had some amazing finds 😍👏👏
Thanks Tom, it's a fantastic spot and I agree, it has more to give.
What a super little spot for a mudlark! Hoping to find a few new spots ourselves this year.. Enjoyed watching, thanks for taking us along 😊👍
It's a great spot. Good luck looking for yours. We hope you find the jackpot :)
Lots of nice items in that dump. That big ink bottle was amazing. Hello from Nova Scotia Canada.
Hi Nancy. Yes we are very lucky to have this spot.
Really nice bottles and beads and other finds like marbles etc…💗💗💗💗💗
Thank you Susan.
You may be among those who already know about this, but I just discovered there are several jewelry makers who take the motifs fr old china, cut them out, wrap in a silver frame and create lovely jewelry! I just bought a pendant made from the top of a Wedgwood trinket box, but she had the birds from Blue Willow ware, Pooh Bear from a child’s tea set, all kinds of things! That piece of pot done in blue cloudy ware would be lovely done that way. Yet another thing to do with the gleanings!
Yes I've seen some of their creations. They're amazing!
A link or so would be lovely as I’m not sure how to look for it.
So many fun finds I’ve forgotten which I liked the most. A really fun lark!
Thank you Debra. It was an amazing day.
Burslem is in Staffordshire, some of my ancestors come from there 😊
Thank you!
yes you can beat a hartleys with a golden shred , i have about a dozen washed out of that creek about five years ago when i worked there.
That huge stoneware lipped pot was amazing. 😍
Yes, Jacqui is still smiling about it.
Beautiful video
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it.

@@SouthCoastMudlarks 😊
The lead disc you found could be from the bottom of a candlestick or other large silver object. The silversmiths would weight the bottoms of objects with lead to save on valuable silver and provide stability. Would probably have been covered with a circle of baize or felt to prevent scratches
That makes perfect sense. Thank you.
Lovely finds well done xx
Thank you Sherry 😊
Please don't dig out the banks. Coastal erosion is a serious problem.
We don't. We only scrape in the spoil heaps left by bottle diggers and all soil we move is replaced back.
If you actually watched the whole video, they explain about the soil etc.
