Hello there, again. This is just a little tip for Doug.when you wash pots and you can’t see the contents (if there is something apart from mud ) it might be a good idea not to shake into the sea, as there might be treasures which could tumble out and be lost.!!! xx
I enjoyed your adventure. I love the pipe. He's a looker. I also love the small pitcher and yhe small basket and tiny pottery jars... Thanks for taking us along. Tour Sub in Oklahoma, Barb.
Brilliant lark guys. I'm shocked at how anything has survived the work that the council has done. What a shame. Still brilliant finds and well done on that amazing pipe bowl. 👍🥰
The face pipe bowl, incredible,to be sure!! But,my favourite is that tiny red jug. It is magnificent. If I found such an item,I would string it by the handle and wear it around my neck, for good lark luck!😂
Hello 👋 from New York USA you Guy's found Some Amazing Finds my Favorite Definitely Was the Pipe Bowl with the man's face and the Stoneware pouring 🫗 ink Thank you for Bringing me Along with you I can't wait to see What you Guy's Find Next 😊
Congratulations on finding that fancy clay pipe bowl Doug! The little jar Jackie found is my favourite too. Let's hope that the Medway foreshore makes it to better again. Have a great weekend! xx
Spectacular pipe bowl. Lovely stoneware, and very nice bottle stoppers. You both found so many wonderful treasures. Thank you for taking us along. Greetings from the U.S.A.
Don’t worry too much about the chunky stones. They will turn darker eventually and the little finds will make there way out. We have them here. My 7 year old found a pan yan pickle jar lid yesterday.
Can’t you go behind the pile of rocks and dig down to find the history they covered from the front? Just fill the holes back in at the end. Like I would get the youngster that y’all lark with at times and the moonrakers and a tarp and meet up with the six of you dig find the history fill it back in. Then keep mount down the coast line. That’s what I would do for sure. I’m like you it hurts my heart of the lose of the history there. I hate they did that they could have least posted what the plans where so that you all could have hustled to get the history out of the ground before the covered it with rocks. Also I would get environmentally safe paint and start painting things and scenes , picks of pipe bowls etc. to make a statement and also to bring some beauty to the foreshore again. But to make sure it’s tasteful art.
I´m sorry to say this is what happens in England, they get people in to do something they think is good, yet they do not think about the enviroment they are trying to protect, Such a shame, Once upon a time we had town planners that actually studied this, What happened to our culture, I think they just say this will do and dump nasty concrete or what ever they can find. SHAME.
Nothing grows on rock. Our mountainsides are full of cement plants which deposit large banks of this type of scree. Nothing will grow there for hundreds of years. Sorry to see it.

That's an amazing pipe bowel with the head. Yeah, you did keep the piece of toothpaste lid and morning button. I thought Jackie found 2 pipe bowels???
Pipe bowl. Bowels are where your poo comes from. No head there. Mourning buttons were used to indicate you were mourning someone's death.
Brilliant lark guys. I'm shocked at how anything has survived the work that the council has done. What a shame. Still brilliant finds and well done on that amazing pipe bowl. 👍🥰

When u fine those large white lids why not get one of those white bottom cream pot bowls. U can hand paint them later.
And keep the toothpaste lids. Never know u get enough broken u can cut them and make 1 lid.
That's a good idea.

Use lemon vinger to help coin clean I don't know what was call name that will clean coins and any metals etc. :)
Some bright spark sitting in their ivory tower had that idea , total incompetence
I found some fossilised bone before, is that quite common?
Not that I'm aware of. It's likely very old then.

Unfortunately you cannot as it's a designated nature reserve now.

The only thing that can grow on rock is moss.
