Jimmy is such a down to earth guy. I went to see him March 17th in Lancaster PA. We spoke guitar players. Found out he liked parachuting and we spoke about his last episode on Truetone and how Great of a guy Zac is!! Was able to get some great pics with him and also Dana 🎸 🎶 ❤️
Great interview Zac. Diamond Rio is the band that launched my love for country as a young kid. I remember hearing the intro on “Meet in the Middle” wondering how in the world they pulled off some of those bends. I had no idea what a bender guitar was at that time.
Any chance you could do a breakdown of James Burton's lead guitar work on the studio version of Judy Collin's Someday Soon found on her Who Knows Where the Time Goes album? Thanks to her voice, Buddy Emmon's pedal steel and Burton's lead fills and solo this was a massive hit for Collins and helped get Country Rock started. Although you can find vids about Emmon's Steel parts, NOBODY has ever discussed Burton's stuff ... and it only appears on this record.
Ordered a amp schematic t shirt. Not sure if just user error but at check out it wouldn’t let me add payment info so went to spring directly through the link and worked fine. Just FYI if anyone else runs into similar issue. All set!
Diamond Rio's music is great on so many levels and I trust this new line up continues in the same vein- a really great band- with great musical interplay.
I’ve got to check out some Diamond Rio. Im late to the party on real country music but loving the start of my journey
Just a couple suggestions...... but All in your head & Gone. I could recommend any of their songs, honestly. Cheers!!!

Good lord! That song is Prog/Zappaesque Virtuoso- Country of the highest caliber. Incredible, I never heard something like this.
