Lisa Marie Varon (fka Victoria in WWE and Tara in TNA) sits down with Chris Van Vliet for an in-person interview in Los Angeles, CA. She talks about growing up in California and being a cheerleader and fitness competitor, becoming roommates with Torrie Wilson , how a chance meeting with Chyna at a gym lead her to tryout for WWE, going to UPW wrestling school with John Cena, debuting on WWE as one of The Godfather's hos, winning the WWE Women's Championship, asking for her release from WWE and then signing with TNA, her decision to retire 30 minutes before her final match and much more!

Molly knew of Strong when he was 14 in the indie scene and “borrowed” it from one of his wrestling tape (she admitted to “borrow” moves from indie tapes) Later Molly met him at an autograph signing and the rest is history.

I actually met Lisa at Comicpalooza here in Houston, she came by my artist table took a pic, signed a blank comic book cover and i drew her as Wonder Woman. She is the sweetest person to talk to, and exceptionally beautiful

I met her at a signing back when she was in TNA. She is probably one of the nicest wrestler I ever met, she was really engaging and was really attentive.
Victoria was such a great character, I remember her cage match with Trish and really took the Womens division to the next level

Victoria actually rules. Seems like such a cool girl, she is one of the best of her time and one of the least appreciated. Trish and lita were great, but Victoria deserves some credit too.

Crazy how many interviews Chris has done and I choose to watch Victoria's. I'm not particularly a woman's match guy altogether , I just think she's one hell of a super woman. Good peeps right there.
It’s a shame Chris is too scared of Stone Cold to give us a Debra interview. One of the only people alive today to have went on to do big successful things post wrestling career. All she gave to the business and they cut her out of every attitude era highlight reel to avoid reminding viewers that their top talent beat the fuck out of her. It’s WRONG. I need to find a wrestling podcast with the balls to address the Debra situation. I personably IG’d Chris and emailed him he’s clearly afraid of Austin and the ramifications of the interview, but it needs to happeb

I dunno , maybe it's years removed from my younger day but I'm so glad I don't have that hardcore opinion on fact or fiction in the wrestling biz anymore. Everyone's got a shoot , I just come for the good stuff.
Awesome interview here Chris, man this one was super relaxed, and Victoria handed out props to everyone, really impressive background stories coming to light, and hearing about that finisher coming from Strong, such a lot of priceless wisdom to give out there. I love hearing the great stories and it's thanks to a great, relaxed style of interview that we learned so much about a truly great woman of the industry who's clearly got a really beautiful kind heart despite how hard the wrestling game is she's still a giver, giving her all.

The good thing about this interview is that he doest have to say or ask much. She basically said what we wanted to hear.

People need to stop putting so much stock into a fake Hall of Fame that only exists in one man’s head. Victoria is a legend, she doesn’t need validation from an 80 year old to know it.

I was a fan of hers during her WWE run. Gorgeous, incredibly athletic, could actually wrestle and sold like only a few can. Way ahead of her time and criminally underappreciated. It was great seeing her at the Rumble!
I’ve watched countless interviews with WWF/E talent and I’ve gotta say, Lisa is by far the absolute kindest, warmest, appreciative talent. I just absolutely adore her and love her.

I loved Lisa so much! No matter if she was Victoria or Tara, she gave so much to both, so very talented and skilled. Will say I hate how they did most of the women back in the day in WWE, but they made her character crazy and wild. Wish we had more matches with her and Nattie as tag partners.
I remember watching wrestling with my stepdad who wasn't really a wrestling fan. Victoria comes out for a match, he didn't even talk during it! He was paying complete attention to Victoria.
Afterwards he told me she was his favourite because in his words "She was the only one who actually *LOOKS* like a wrestler!

Victoria is awesome she was great in WWE. I don't think WWE understood how big of superstar they had in her. I even think her Babyface run could of worked if it was more of a slow turn not just boom here is some DANCE music entrance? If you get a chance, stand in her line to meet her she is super nice.

I always thought Victoria was so hot. I saw her and Micky James in a club at City Walk (Universal studios) probably like 10 years ago.
I think Victoria/Tara was such a huge star in wrestling during her time. Definitely one of the best ever. HOF FOREVER!
I will always sing the praises of Victoria. She used to have a restaurant in Chicago called the Squared Circle and it felt like she was there every day watching wrestling and hanging out with the patrons. I watched a lot of shows with her! She used to rent party buses to get to different shows in the area and would bring her wrestling friends to the restaurant for pictures/autographs. I've met Bad Influence, Tommy Dreamer, The Young Bucks, Roderick Strong and even Paige and Emma shortly after they debuted. She would also have watch parties during Wrestlemania time and I got to sit with her at her table for WM30! She was honestly the best wrestler I've met in person and an even beter human being!
Victoria is hands down one of the best wrestler of all time

Victoria is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time! I have met her well over 10 times and she is always a humble, funny, and gracious woman. She even sat with me at her restaurant in Chicago and watched a smackdown episode with me. She is such a pleasure!

Truly one of the coolest and most badass faces of The Women's Division during the Ruthless Aggression era. I always felt she hit her peak so well through her psycho "All The Things She Said" phase, especially with Stevie at ringside during certain matches. Superbly pleasant that I'll get to meet Lisa for the very first time this weekend at RCWC! : D

Awesome, I LOVE Victoria! She’s one of my favourite female wrestlers ever - she had tons of charisma, she was a fantastic worker but at a time of stick models, she also looked super strong 💪 She had it all and her TNA run was just as good as WWE

Really wished you had asked about her pizza store company that is now closed down and especially her having perhaps the best Diva heel turn moment in 2004 when she beat up the Diva Search girls in a swimsuit contest and kicked Jerry Lawler hard in the groin.
What a cool woman she is. Absolutely not shocked that she made it when you hear her speak and her attitude towards everything.
