    Just a small correction - The first muscle mentioned 'Levator Scapulae' has origins from the *transverse processes* of the cervical vertebrae,

    thank you!! I have chronic pain in all these areas. I don't know why, but my physical therapists say my joints hyperextend. I also forget to move my body around when I'm sick or depressed (exercise is not a part of my job) and I think immobility worsens my issues.
    anywho its good to know the structure of these muscles. I've done enough massaging that I know these parts but its good to learn their names and origins.

    Hello Mike,
    Thank you for your amazing tutorials!
    Just one question, in the video you said that the origin of the levator scapula is the spinous processes of the first 4 cervical vertebrae. I was wondering if you meant transverse processes of the cervical vertebrae or you call all the processes, spinous processes?

      Yes! Thats right. Its the transverse processes.

    What's the meaning of " process " , like odontoid " process"

    • @_aniketbharadwaj
      @_aniketbharadwaj 2 месяца назад

      It refers to any prominent projection from the surface of a bone or other body structure. These structures serve various functions such as sites for muscle attachment, joint formation, and ligament attachment etc

    Dr. Mike, please refine your medical terminology prior to your attempt of educating others. I was watching this video as a review and within 2 minutes there is already a major mistake when describing the origin of the levator scapulae. The spinous processes project posteriorly and then ones you are grabbing are the transverse processes, a major distinction.

      Also around the 3 minute 30 second mark when describing the muscle fibers. He mentions the ones going downwards are referred to as superior, and the ones going upwards as superior. Surely one of those would be referred to as inferior.
