Actually I want to make a study area map for River water but I don't know what are the procedures. what are the order of tasks to perform: which shapefile do I need for the country or for the province or only for the study area? note: I have geographic coordinates of study area. Thanks
You can do it using River shapefile if available. Or You can extract River shapefile using Google earth. First, you need to create polygon according to River line in Google earth and the save file as KML. Then open ArcMap and go to Arc Toolbox > conversion Tool > From KML and the KML to layer. You will get River as shapefile. However, You can follow this video ruclips.net/video/PljV4fPhDNs/видео.html Just do it for River shapefile. If you face any trouble doing this, just let me know. I'll try to help you again.
