Bought a small vacation house right off the Withlacoochee Trail last year, just south of downtown. Great place, with great people.

There's no beach to speak of in couple hundred miles? That's probably what kept this small town small, clean and livable.
Fyi, the beach and Golf is less way less than 200 miles west of Inverness.
@@barrywainwright3391 Thank you. I should've pointed out that I meant to say from satelite maps I can't locate any sandy usable beach for rec. I live just 4 miles from the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and it's great...if you can find a very expensive parking spot and don't mind driving under the shade of a jungle of construction cranes pouring gazillions of concrete all over. There's a threshold where at the Growth Machine zaps the enjoyment of nature and life. Having or not having a nice beach becomes a marginal aspect to quality of life.
I have been to Inverness a few times to stay at a motel. The town and surrounding areas are nice. Its a nice area to take a vacation to get away from it all here in NJ.

I love Inverness
Because of so many advertising the area and telling their family and friends it has caused prices of homes to increase dramatically. Just a couple years ago homes were $185k on average. When you discover a low cost paradise area keep quiet about it and don't educate the realtors and don't them them how expensive homes are where you are from. The less they know the better.

I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🫡🇺🇸❤
But its more expensive along the beach areas.
