Can't believe that someone finally reviewed this song. You guys will be utterly blown away by DMB live. World music. There's so much going on you'll just be captivated. I really hope you guys enjoy the show. And RIP LeRoi.
I had have waited 2 years to see someone react to this.. YIPPEE
Oh yeah! Now its time for SPAC Seek Up
Y'all making my heart smile.
They are all incredible, but drummer Carter Beauford is extra special. One of the GOATS. And a permanent member from day 1.
💯
💯
One of the few bands that's better live than recorded. Great Musicians.
The drummer is sick! The entire band is too.
And this album that this song’s from (referenced in the lyrics) Under the Table and Dreaming, is classic DMB. Hope you check out the album 🎉 And have a blast at the show!
The drummer is from another astral plane!!
Yes thats Carter Beauford he is a MONSTER!
Watch the isolation video of Carter Beauford playing "Tripping Billies". You'll be absolutely blown away!
Really looking forward to your review of the show you see. I've seen him live several times, and every time I hear this song it sounds wonderfully different, while still being the same song I know and love. There is nothing like seeing real musicians playing real instruments live. You guys are going to have a GREAT time.
💯
The drummer, Carter Beauford, is incredible, live and on their albums. The band as a whole is amazing.
💯
I always had respect for this guy, because he played a two year old gig he had booked, at a friend of mines fraternity function, while he had a hit record out. He wasn't too big to make $2,500 or whatever it was; a deal is a deal.
I saw them live in an outdoor amphitheater in Camden, NJ. Definitely a new and memorable experience for me. RIP LeRoi Moore, the sax player on this video.
Their song Rapunzel also has some mindblowing violin.
Can't overhype these guys playing live. You're in for a special treat - ENJOY!
Arguably the greatest drummer in rock and roll
If you watch a documentary on Dave Mathew’s band - bro, one of the best humans on the planet.
I'm going to see them June 10th for the first time in 3 years and I'm super excited. These guys play 2-3hrs a night and it's always on point!! So glad you're going, it will be an experience you won't forget!!!
Their Central Park concert from 2003 is one of the best live recordings I've ever heard/seen so be sure to check out some performances from that!
The album this song is on, Under the Table and Dreaming, is one of my favorite albums of all time. It helped get me through the worst, hardest time of my life. Every single song on that album is great.
Please do more LIVE DMB its time youtube realises how incredible this band is! Your in for a massive treat on the 14th. There is such an extreme fusion of music genres when they play it makes your brain explode with musical joy.
Ahh my favorite band of all time 🥰 You're going to have a BLAST at the concert. I've seen them numerous times myself. Unfortunately the man playing the sax, LeRoi Moore, passed away in 2008 💔 And the man playing the violin has since left the band under some not so nice circumstances. But they still jam out and are all just awesome musicians! The drummer, Carter Beauford, is one of the BEST in the game. Enjoy the show!!! Love you guys 🤗
one of my favorites from the 90s! drummer kicks ass!
Have a wonderful time at the show! Thank you for choosing Live At Piedmont Park, I was one of over 80,000 at this show in September of 2007. As CJR said RIP LeRoi!
My son went to a free concert and was center stage about five rows back. His buddy had one the tickets. He came home and told me I’d probably like this band. Yep, Dave Mathews Band and the6 were just starting out. The rest is history!
I went to their concert late 90’s. Great band, especially live:)
This was a what every college kid listened to back in those days.
I didn’t know that they were still playing
I've seen these guys 6 times myself. You won't be disappointed. Light one up for me!
Dippin into the amazing catalog of the one and only Dave Matthews Band. Check out Steady As We Go, Don’t Drink the Water, Crash Into Me, Crush, Sattelite. Damn his entire catalog is great! Oh and when you go see Dave and the boys they will make a three minute song 15 minutes because they jam out and kill it. They just play what they feel.
Oh boy, y’all are in for a treat!! I saw the DMB in Atlanta in 2009. Their energy and stage presence are phenomenal !!! You’ll be on your feet the entire show. ENJOY!!
GO SEE THEM LIVE!!!! Thank y’all for dipping into this! It’s the best shit ever
DMB has a very distinctive sound. I was fortunate to see them live in concert 3-4 times. They are absolutely amazing in concert, their artistry and harmony together is unbelievable❣️✨ you will never see someone playing violin like that….that man is one of a kind 👌🏼. You should react to more DMB, they’re quite unique and just master musicians.
Love the Dave Matthews Band. Dave brings a unique sound from his native South Africa and other countries he's lived. Have fun at his concert. Thanks again for a great reaction.
Wife here.."you need to go on and stop all of that"..Asia ..,you are too darn cute!!..You two are so witty, intelligent and charming..Always puts a smile on my face..Love the extended intro..And Yes.,Asia the violin is so cool!!..Seeing them in concert will be Off the Chain!!!
Saw him about 3 years ago, also at an open air venue just north of Detroit where I’d seen him just over 20 years ago. He was even better. Ants is iconic.
Love me some DmB! Crash into You, You & Me, I can go on and on!! Every song is fantastic!
Jimi thing from the Central park concert is 🔥!
Yes! Love Dave Matthews Band. Carter Beauford, the drummer, is one of my all time favorites. I've tried to get a dozen people to react to this video but they all say its blocked. Cool you could get it to work. Guarantee this will be one of your all time favorite concerts!
Album version is a deeper song...live it has to be a celebration because it is so popular. The lyrics have a message, the song blew up so much that the message got lost...but it is about zombie people who go through life not thinking or caring...like ants marching.
Please do a lot more of Dave Matthew's Band Live. There's no one better live. You're going to absolutely love the show on the 14th. I'm excited for you, please do a video on it for us. Thanks ✌️❤️
PS. There's no violinist in the band anymore but they sound just as good still.
Crash Into Me my most favorite DMB song. I saw them live in 97 they are AMAZING
He only really plays outside! Y’all are in for a treat!!!
You all are in for an amazing experience!! I have seen DMB twice now, I saw them last year and it was amazing. Seeing them is an experience. Unfortunately the sax player died several years ago, the fiddle player is no longer with the band. But don't let that discourage you, they are just as good live now than the time period this video was filmed. The drummer is Carter Beauford, one of my favorite drummers. He is a huge part of the show, he is amazing to watch. Can't wait to hear about your experience.
You’ll be seeing them live without Roi ( RIP) , and Boyd in this video , but you will see Jeff Coffin who came on when Roi was injured and then passed , Rashawn Ross on Trumpet and Buddy Guy on keyboard . Carter is a beast on drums, Fonzie kills on bass and Dave never disappoints . They are still fantastic live, so much energy and talent . I’ll,be seeing them in July after not seeing them in 3 years, it will be about my 76 th show and I am just as excited as ever to be going. Enjoy your show
Their live shows are absolutely phenomenal. They freestyle a lot. There is a video of one concert were ONE SONG went on for 30 minutes and it was amazing throughout the song. I'd also suggest Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds Live Radio City Music hall full concert, though many focus on the opening song "Bartender".
They give back A LOT to the community of their home town in Virginia. There is a neat little documentary on that on youtube.
Thank God you found DMB , Crush, #41, Trippin Billies, Don't drink the water, Satellite,. Crash into me , Two step. Thank you so much for everything that you guys do. Looking forward to more great music with you guys!! I saw them multiple times,. Central Park was insane. That is a show you guys need to see them live. Carter Buford is one of Greatest drummers of all time , period! And seeing what he can live is something you have to see.
GREAT BAND GUYS.......music is the people's power it brings us together like nothing else.
💜
Welcome to the Universe of DMB. Sometimes weird, sometimes you just have to ride the song and let it fill you, but ALWAYS worth the price of admission!
The line up has changed a bit since this was filmed. LeRoi, the sax player, passed away. Jeff Coffin and Rashawn Ross have joined they band and they are awesome. Boyd the fiddle/violin player left the band a few years ago. But they still put on an amazing show.
One of my favorite bands to watch live. So freakin much fun. And this song takes me to so many good places and times and spaces.
Their two early albums (Remember Two Things and Under the Table and Dreaming) are both fire. You'll enjoy seeing them live. They put on a great show! Seen em twice.
You guys are going to have a blast!! Outdoors is definitely the best way to see DMB.
The energy of joy in music...
FYI the DMB you see will look very different from the one in this video. The violinist was kicked out for a "Me Too" situation and the the sax player passed in an ATV accident. Thankfully, Carter still remains on the drums and Dave is as electric as ever with the guitar and vocals.
Massive brutal talented bunch of great top notch musicians! Love them! 👍👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
One of the best live concerts you will EVER see! For sure!! They come to Alpine Valley in WI every summer, I've lost count of how many times I've gone. I'm super excited for you guys 🎶🎵🔥🔥
Asia & BJ, "What Would You Say" was their first hit!
The louder the better!!!! This song gets me going every time I hear it. Enjoy!!!
OMG! Y’all are gonna have so much fun!!! Video it!!✌️😊💜
Can't wait!
Great tune. My late wife liked Dave Mathew’s back in he first did his rounds in the States though I never was into his music. This was an exciting song and I am sure you guys will have great time at his concert!👍🏻☮️✌🏻
Yeah you’re right finally Dave and the boys! Great great band!!! Gotta check out #41, great music, awesome sound with violin, drums, sax, base and to round it all out with Dave’s voice and guitar! Great in concert! Have an awesome time at the concert!!!
Deep messages and great musicianship. Nothing more needs be said.
Aw dang yall goin to DMB!? Lol ❤❤ yeah for sure its going to be sold out and prolly just as many ppl! I saw them at the molson amphitheatre in Toronto like 20 yrs ago w afro celt sound system. Carter is a BEAST! Everyone is phenomenal of course and i miss Leroi M. on horns. Have fun guys 😁 ✌❤
You both are in for a real treat come May 14th. Nothing like a DMB show 🎸🎷🎻🥁🎹🎺
I've just seen him like a year ago they are still awesome they are so good live what an amazing band
I’m so excited for you. Have fun. They are so good in concert. Seen them a lot. They would open up concert season in Virginia Beach amphitheater every year for close to 20 years I went almost every year cuz I had season tickets.
Dave Matthews Band- The Last Stop Live In Chicago '98 🤯
Since this concert at Piedmont Park… Boyd Tinsley (violin) had been fired from the band in 2018 and replaced by Buddy Stong on keyboard. Leroi Moore (saxophone) died in an ATV accident in 2008 and was replaced by Jeff Coffin on saxophone. Butch Taylor (keyboard) was fired from the band in 2008 as well and replaced by Tim Reynolds on electric lead guitar. The lineup has gone through many, many phases since 1991.
First timer!! You’re going to have a great time….I’ve seen DAVE 15 times…each is completely different….it’s a real festival..even a ferries ⛴ wheel!! Make sure you get the VIP PARKING…there are professional DAVE FANS…they follow them every where !! Food and drinks are a little pricey…pick up a T shirt and poster…take lot of pics
One of the greatest 3 hour concert I've ever seen. You guys will love it on May 14. Do more DMB. Every song they do is memorable. Check out "Louisiana Bayou " live with Robert Randolph on the pedal steel guitar. Unbelievable.
Piedmont Park has come a long, long way since the Allman Brothers played free concerts there 50 years ago.
Excited for y’all to experience DMB live! One of the best live performing band in the world. The band will look a little different, but all the members are extremely talented. Check out #41 from the Listeners supported album.
These are all local guys. I used to play baseball with Carter and his brother Roland while their dad umpired. Dave Matthews used to tend bar at Miller's on the mall and Boyd was a pretty good tennis player as I recall. I remember them before they hit the big time.
Ya'll are gonna have a great time at the concert!
Oh yeah like someone else said, if you want to get into this band start w the album Under the Table and Dreaming.. every song is amazing. Not lying. ✌❤
Been to see DMB 5 times through the years. You guys will love the show. Hope 41 will be on the playlist
His shows always feel fresh and almost free form. His songs will hang in your head for days
I've seen several ppl comment about LeRoi (RIP) and then about Boyd leaving the band. Yes Carter smiles the entire time. But Stefan (bass) was only 16 when he joined the band.
What a performance!!! Such an amazing group of musicians!!
Y’all are in for a treat. One or the best live bands you’ll ever see!
I'm so jelly y'all get to actually see them live.....enjoy babies😘
My favorite DMB song . I hope you enjoy the concert .
in high school (early 2000s) I was on the DMB Hager bandwagon. just didn't buy the hype or like the fans I suppose. Then a couple of my friends bought me a ticket to go with them and see a show. My opinion changed very quickly. As a musician in every band program, I could not ignore how good everyone was at their instrument. Then I realized that I wasn't giving the music a chance. it was a big aha moment as a teen about being open. Carter is in my top 10 drummers all time. just technically very very very good.
I’ll be at all three shows in Texas! Ya’ll are going to fall in love!!! I did in 1996!! Welcome to the family! Boyd is no longer with the band, but Buddy (organist) adds a funky vibe you’ll feel in your soul. Enjoy the show. #seeyouontheroad
Dave from Charlottesville Virginia. Home town boy!
finally. They have such good songs. listen to more of their songs Mother Father, big eye fish, barthender, two step, samurai cop, 41, space between
This band is amazing!
I forgot how GREAT these guys are!!
Hope You have a great time at the show
Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds live Luther college is an entirely amazing album!!!
Great!!! It's good to see someone finally reacting tu DMB live
You will be blown away by any thing you see live from them
I'm looking forward to more live reactions.
Unfortunately the line up has changed a bit, I know for sure the drummer and bass player are still there and I'm pretty sure the Guitarist is still there also.
I would recommend anything from the Central Park Performance you cave go wrong.
Jimi thing is a fun song
Was so disappointed when Phish at Piedmont Park was cancelled due to covid. Because of the massive planning needed for a show there, it couldn’t be rescheduled like the rest of their summer tour. You all really need to react to a Phish live song and go see them when you get a chance.
I was lucky enough to see Dave Matthews Band at a sorority party in college before the release of their first full album. I knew nothing about them. Absolutely blew me away.
I had to stop to comment once I heard you were going to see them live. I have seen them live somewhere in the ball park of 30 times. Their shows are amazing. My favorite is always watching Dave dance in his Dave way. I wish and know you are going to have an fabulous evening. Please vlog so we can see how much you enjoyed it!!!
I’m from Atlanta. I missed the Piedmont Park concert but caught them a few years later in Centennial Olympic Park with Sting as the opener.
Dave matthews grace is gone is one of my favorites by them.
First saw Dave when he was the opening act at the HORDE tour, back in 1993. They are a great live band. You will love it.
Man this takes me back to being in high school in the late 90s, blasting DMB out the crappy factory speakers of my 1984 buick regal lol. Another great live performance is a cover of "all along the watchtower" they did
Awesome!! I have been a dozen times and it's ALWAYS great! Dave pours his heart right on the stage, and the drummer is freakin' awesome! Have a great time and please give me the low down on what you think of the show!
DMB - "#41" Live is another must!
Just a heads up for your show. The violinist is no longer with the band, and the saxophonist passed away in 2008. They have some new people in the band but they are still incredible! Have a great time guys! You’re gonna love them!
Great band, guys. Enjoy the concert.
You will not be disappointed!! Best show ever!! love DMB..
My favorite! Carter Beauford, their drummer, is amazing. I'm so excited you get to see them live. Before covid, I went to 3 shows a summer since 1994. 💜 Their line up has change quite a bit since then. Are you in pavilion seats or the lawn? If lawn... be prepared... you'll be at a chatty party. Also, probably good to have some lyrics handy for Dave reactions... sometimes he can be tough to understand, but he's an incredible lyricist. Unfortunately, Boyd Tinsley, the violinist isn't with them any longer. He left the band for several reasons. And the horn player, Leroi Moore passed away after an ATV accident. They replaced him with 2 equally incredible horn players. They've added a keyboard player and Tim Reynolds (the guy who made all the crazy acoustic guitar noise from the live stream).
List of their best live songs:
#41 (my personal favorite)
Ants Marching
Jimi Thing
Tripping Billies
Two Step
Warehouse
All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan Cover, also covered by Hendrix)
@@seang3698I'm jealous!!!! Would love to be there with y'all. 💜 enjoy
@@seang3698 I could possibly make it if I start driving on Sunday. 🤔 😜
Man yall are in for a treat, best musicians in the business
There was something special about the original line-up. The interplay between violin and sax with the rest of the band keeping’s steady groove was amazing. Unfortunately the sax player died in an ATV accident a few years ago and the violin player was let go following a scandal.
Ya'll so lucky, I'm excited for ya! Happy to hear DMB will be near you! Still one of my fav. bands today. Have a great time!
Can't wait!
I've been to many a concert/festival and I would say that (personally) the worst part of seeing music live is the arrival/departure. Finding parking sucks and staying the whole show then leaving is a completely different monster. But while you're in there....with every single person around enjoying the same experience as you....that's something that will always stay with you. Plus, seeing music performed live is addictive like getting tattoos!
RIP LeRoi, seeing him playing literally made me cry
