That escape jumper is nasty. I also love doing the step back out of the moving crossover. Works well against human opponents in rec quite often. I need to get better at cancelling certain animations and doing the left/right hops out of the size up escape more often. I think I've trained myself to time my combos too late because I usually want to finish them.

EVERYTHING works in the REC btw the court is not too small just read your defender. Learn the diff hop jumpers and don’t be afraid to shoot them. Best space creating shots
i second this. everything works yes you just need to choose correctly. also dont be afraid to fade as well bc its a faster release and you dont always have time to do a hop jumper.
Also Taytum has an exclusive animation. If you do a mid step over from triple threat (northwest on right stick) then Straight into a shot he does a fade. Creates so much space

💎💎💎My fav was the misdirection off tripple threat. The switchback one i actually discovered by mistake a few weeks ago haha, you can do it stationary(without left stick). coming to a stop in the transition and doing a tween cross to continue for example.

I think if you called left/right stick different names it would make it a lot easier to follow. Move left stick down right and right stick up left after double tapping right stick left two times got my brain all twisted up

Hey Jordan, go to Play Now, and then Go to "2KU" and then go to "Freestyle". You should be able to practice in the gym! There are also options to practice plays, and scrimmage (without shot clock) so you can practice your 5 on 5 game!

Devin Booker ball side jab step (tap up right on the RS if youre rt handed) into the explosive behind the back chains into Zach Lavines Stepback hop jumper (down on the RS) Also for the ppl who like "glitchy" shit DBooks step over in the triple threat (flick down left on the RS) can be shot out of like a normal jumper. when your MPs back is facing away from the basket time your jumper by the RS. your MP does a 180 spin and releases his jumper like a normal catch and shoot. incredibly easy to time if u can get it right
If anybody is having any hardship with the escape jumper. The key is to flick the stick twice very quickly. Not necessarily chaining the step over and double flick quickly but actually flicking the stick twice quickly. Hope that helps anybody

I hope one day, we all move back to a place where 2K online is as free flowing and has more skill moves as opposed to the current meta right now. But we're all doing our part by playing the way the game was meant to be played!

Can someone please guide me to the icon definitions? I know simple things like the Gatorade icon, the fire icon, the dunk icon etc. What are some of the other icons? Like the one that looks like the letter G with fire around it that like the entire team will have
Those are the takeover icons for each player, they get activated if you do good things with the player, which will activate attribute boosts and at times new animations! I can't really find the icon definitions right now, but I'm sure there's some guide online!

These moves are tougher to execute against online for sure, some of it is the difficulty in inputs, some of it is that people don't play specific ways that allow for these to be taken advantage of, but all of these moves I've got to work at some point online. I won't go to it every time, but every now and then you bring out the bag and it's fun to try new stuff out!
Try walking them down slowly once they get you in that "ride" or clamp animation. Sometimes it's the angle of your movement that prevents the move from happening!

That clamp breaker tip is clutch....I just been working on creating contact then taking the close/midrange shot

I can only do the stepover escape jumper combo when my left foot is my pivot foot, do you know why that may be the case?
Probably can only do it wit his dominant hand

I can do it with the other pivot foot, but maybe try tapping the RS down-left (instead of left) with your right pivot foot established!

How to do up and under shot?
Initiate a pump fake, then hold the right stick in the direction you want to do an up and under! I got a video coming out later that might help!

It's a tough one for sure, but it's a timing thing, try changing up the speed in which you go from the stepover to double tapping the right stick!
