Just look at what happened to X factor winner *Melanie Amaro* who was a huge star on that show and *Tessanne Chin* who won 2014's *The Voice.* She is seen various places (like at the White House as a guest during a concert) but is never heard singing. She dropped an album but has yet to really make a dent on the music charts. I pray my girl shoots way past that but as with everyone who's ever dealt with the industry...the problem lies in their control and direction they want to take your image and musical style in. That's where a lot of artists have fallen off out of disagreements so then the labels basically put you on a shelf and leave you to dry rot and move on to someone else while strangling your ability by keeping you legally bound under contract to move on and make money with anyone else.
I think she's hurt with the outcome. I would be too. This is the second interview that I've seen with her keeping her hands in her pockets and kinda holding back like she's a bit embarrassed by the loss. We voted our asses off for her in my family. I say it was a singing competition not a modeling competition; I asked a girl in my chem lab class about the outcome and if she voted (20 yr. old girl) and she said "yes" I voted for Trent " he's sooooo cute". Went on to say, come on you know he looks better than she does! I was flabbergasted! So there you go..... Love you dear and I will buy your music.
