My 'why': I'm an anglophone Canadian who is determined to learn Canada's other official language. Thanks for making this video - sometimes we all need that extra little push to keep going!

After 4 months of fairly intensive lock down, french learning, my motivation has wavered a bit this month as I can't see the progress as much. I had a break of a few days then got back to it. Thanks for the video, I find you really engaging and watchable Pearl and I will keep going in a consistent way.

When you said where do you see yourself in one year, I got all giddy and took out my stack of French books and started saying to myself "I will have read you, and you, and you, and you too!" and I just go so excited and started reading some out loud to my cat even though I don't understand it all. (I have 11 books btw, a variety of beginner and advanced, and I am so excited to read them all here soon!)
Also, my why: I have just always loved the language since I was little. a mix of "I love to listen to French" and "I love Europe," those combined and I just HAD to understand this language. I needed to be able to understand and speak the words I loved to hear, and when I go to Europe and visit France I want to be able to communicate. Also I love the idea of reading foreign books and journaling in a language my family and friends don't know (this was a big motivation!) so my privacy can stay extra protected :)
Thank you so much for your videos! I found you on instagram and you help me so much with pronunciation! the way you pronounce sounds and words is so much easier for me to understand than other channels. You are the first French learning platform I actually enjoy watching and also remember things from. ☺️

Thanks for making this video. I'm in my second level of French, and the teacher I had was kinda rude with me, because I did not know some exercise, and I know I am learning, but that made me feel very upset and wanted to quick. But I did not wanted to stop because that bad teacher, so I change my class to another teacher and listening to your video helped me to continue with this journey. Merci beaucoup :)

Bonjour Perle!!

I'm really enjoying your channel! I wonder if you have ever watched one of my favorite movies, FRENCH KISS with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. I'd like your reaction to Kline's French accent and his vocabulary. There are a number of scenes where he switches back and forth between French and English. Thank you!

I did the French A1 course twice.
I did the French A2 course twice.
I feel like I cannot break through.
I love French and I hate it. Now I signed up for B1. Not that I feel anyhow prepared but I simply cannot do the A courses a third time. I don’t know what to do.

Listen to innerFrench daily. Listen to the same episode at least twice. First listen without stopping then read the transcript and comprehend 100% of it. After that listen to the episode again till you hear and understand everything.

Here’s a friendly FYI: The transcript attached to your video is transcribed wrong. A deaf person would not be able to follow along, let alone make sense of any of it. You seem too smart to allow this to happen. Please look into this matter.
