What did you do about the Old Filter Seal??? you didn't show how you removed it!!!You didn't run the car through the gears or show putting the fill plug on while the car was running??? (Did you do any of that) you can't put the fill plug on if the car is not running!!!
You skipped the part where it's impossible to get the filter ring out. It just magically worked for you somehow because you didn't show it getting stuck in there although you pulled out the original filter without the ring.
Late to the party but you gotta gently bend the edge of it inside with a screwdriver and some light tapping. You can then get it out with needle nose pliers.
i want to replace my fluid bcs i got cod 578E “gearbox oil wear” but the mechanic told me to not do it bcs it will break the transmission,please your advice sir.
People say not to change it cuz you don’t have to but if you when you feel like the car kinda moves when you do your changes to P or D or R then probably go get it checked out and let’s see what the Mechanic size
Nothing will break that is already not broken .. with time the fluid loses it properties and need to be changed. A drain and fill for first time will do then followed by a full service later or change filter and gasket
I don't understand why they can't tell you the exact fluid to put in as they do with the engine oil change. I guess they want you to waste more fluids filling it up just to start the car and let the fluid come out to let you know its full...

The new filter can be used with the ring in there. It’s just a matter of confirming if it fits tightly
