pro tip: if you can connect all four hoses to one carb first and see if those needles all point to the same number. if not write down the offset, then connect to all four carbs and adjust accordingly 🤗

I owed this very model with ABS back in the day flogged the ring off it for 8 years, awesome bike traveling the best motorcycle roads in the South Island of New Zealand.
These bikes can certainly take a lot of punishment. It’s hard to kill one of these unless you really neglect them. To think my bike is 30 years old. I’ve had it for 11 years now. Heavy bike but really comfortable on a long journey. Must have been fantastic in NZ. Thanks for checking out my vids!
Always to check your rubbers before getting down to business. Have an 84 but started doing this with one gauge connected to a manifold that any hose can be shut off from the carbs not being checked then closing that one noting the reading and closing it and opening the next one to check... As my 4 inline gauges all indicate slightly different so I just use one. Thoroughly confused anyone?
These are hard to get im afraid. CMsnl.com in Holland have the 2 outer ones in stock. Not cheap but they fit and last for years Otherwise a good complete second hand option are out there. I had to repair one of mine with black permitex silicone. Made a vid on my site Still holding today. Otherwise Japanese supplier. Good luck with your hunting.
just saying, you might need to put a smaller or bigger restrictor in the 4 Rubber lines, put the restrictor in each line about 6" up from the ends that plug onto the Carbs. I have the same Bike and the same Motion Pro and at a 1000 rpm Idle my 4 chrome Rods are about 2" up from the Bottom of the Motion Pro , your 4 Chrome Rods are not even showing at the very bottom unless you Rev it up, It should not do that . cheers Phil

Do you know where you can get new inlet rubbers cheaply? Mine are all cracked. From the airbox to the carbs btw

Always check valve clearances first. No point in balancing carburettors if valves clearances are out. Yes use carb spray to check for vaccum leaks.
I mention this in my vid. On an old bike like this the clearances don't move much.
