Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. Keep doing it!
Thank you for your encouragement, it really motivates me to do create more 🙏
The Moog Strikes Bach! 😊
That’s rightttttt! ✨🎹🎶💡💪
Great! Beautiful
Awesome, thank you! 🙏
This is a very "simple" synth sound, but what I find creative about it is that it sounds just like a harpsichord, perfect for this type of piece, with an electro twist!
Yes, a very sensitive and musical observation, thank you! You and I seem to think alike 🎶🙏🤓
bach is best with simple instruments, because the nature of the music is so complex
Synthesizers are so well suited to this music. I could listen to this lovely music all day. I love those little trills you do! I bet Bach is smiling down on you wherever he is.
So glad you enjoy this, more to come! And yes, that is a very nice thought, and I hope he is smiling down 🎶☁️ 🌈
Absolutely excellent, great playing and the synths make so much musical sense
Thank you very much 🙏 I agree, I got “switched on” to the combination of synths and Bach through Wendy Carlos 😇
Wonderful performance. I remember listening to Switched-On Bach as a kid on vinyl. So nice to see and hear this piece performed on modern synthesizers like these. Looks like it was fun to play also!
Thanks for sharing! That is a great way to get into music as a kid. And yes, fun to play and to listen to 😇
Nothing better than Bach before bedtime ❤😴💤
Heh yes! This is the reason Bach wrote the Goldberg Variations, to help Count Kaiserling fall asleep 😴
So clean! Well played!
Thank you very much! I used extra soap 😇
Trills are sounding clean!
A good trill can be quite a thrill 😇🎶✨
Thanks for the shout out!
Thank you for writing the most beautiful music 🎶 🎼🎵🎹✍️📜
classic sound of a Moog is so beautiful.
Yes, I love it too 😍
I think it would sound cooler with more of a late attack sine wave on the moog, something softer and more synth sounding. This is a little to close to an actual harpsichord.
Yeah, there are so many options, I never quite know how my sounds will turn out, they just form intuitively. Next time I’ll try your suggestion 👍🙏🎹🎶😇
Awesome!
Thanks man, I appreciate it 🙏
Awesome how you get a kind of trill effect (B-A-G, G-F-E) just by extending a little more the note. Beautiful, 👏👏
Yes, a unique synthesizer technique 🔌🎶🎹 Thank you for your kind and learned feedback!
@@DorHeledMusic Good to learn from you this techniques, and enjoy your performances, Thank you!!. (BTW I notice you use this technique only with the left hand. I guess it is because the left hand synth Prophet can do it. ). :)
I used this technique in the left hand only because I wanted to play faster trills that will match my right hand. I used a fast LFO and triggered it using an expression pedal with the Prophet to create the fast trills, and with my right hand you can see that the trills are played directly on the keyboard.
@@DorHeledMusic WoW!, what a nice witty technique. I will borrow it from you :) . Thanks so much again!!
@@DorHeledMusic Ahh I assumed it was aftertouch!
Totally enjoyed it! The articulation is also spot on.
Thank you Georgios! I’m gonna check out your channel now 🤓
Love these so much!
Yes, I love making them 🤓 Thank you for your support ✌️
Excellently done!
Many thanks 🎉✨🤓
0:33 wait. How are you triggering those left hand trills?
Aftertouch...? Velocity?
Foot pedal linked to pitch oscillator 🙏
@@DorHeledMusic Awesome
I love this so much!!!🥲
Heh yes! Thank you 🙌
Binged all your Bach vids and you've inspired me to play some on the synths. Problem for me is a comfortable stand setup for now :D
Oh yeah, take your time setting up! It takes me a few hours every time I shoot a video to get my stands to stay still 😅
fantastic!!!
✨🎹🙏
Absolute fire !
Thanks Brad! Glad you like it 🔥
A modern synth is a piano with an orchestral range just like the late Beethoven described. The value of this will become clear as we free ourselves from postmodern dogmas.
In Bach's time, music was society's cutting-edge tech, universally advancing civilization with its measurable impact. Music theory wasn't just art; it was progress, a universal language revolutionizing the human experience.
🤯
whaou ! perfect and the ending is fab
Thanks Kevin! Glad you enjoyed it 🎶🤟
Inspiring 👍
Thanks for the encouragement! 🙏
Reminds of Bachbusters
👍
Well played and a great pick for the sound. Maybe you could point the camera from a bit of an angle (as in a bit from the right or left) to make it easier for viewers to follow your fingers?
That’s an interesting suggestion, I thought the direct angle I use gives the clearest view of the fingers, but maybe I can try a sideways angle for the next one. Thanks for checking it out!
@@DorHeledMusic it's a good view of the fingers but I think it will be easier to see the movement of the fingers and the keys if the camera is not directly above.
Bach might have been totally insane.
🙃
Just would quietly leave a like on this video 👍
I like your like 👍
These never get old. It's like you continued on where Wendy Carlos left off on the Switched On Bach series. Thank you for making these, they're brilliant. Tones, playing, interpretation all totally on point!
Thank you Steve, that is very kind 🙏 I’m glad you still enjoy listening to Bach on synths and I agree, there’s still more to explore 🎶✨
Again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Marcus! Appreciate you following and supporting the music 🎶
@@DorHeledMusic Absolutely. It's really refreshing to see someone who is very proficient in his craft use synthesizers in earlier forms of music.
Aw shucks, I'm blushing over here 😊
Johannes Sebastian Bach.
Born in the year of the Lord 3785.
This is WONDERFUL! I hate to see thousands of dollars of gear used to make annoying thump-tracks. Love to see them used to do classical music, it's the BEST.
Thanks Mark, I’m definitely on the same page 😇Wendy Carlos was the first to use synths for anything other than spacey sound effects, and what better way than playing Bach!
Forget Wendy's Switch, my friend; very nice work !
Thanks Nick! I was very impressed with switched on Bach, but I do think that I put my personal touch on Wendy’s concept, so thanks for pointing that out 🤓🎶✨
