I love watching this show because Brett believes in saving the old character and details of historic homes. Most people do complete, cheap, crappy renovations by tearing out all the old detail, putting in vinyl floors, ripping out great quality cabinetry and replacing with cheaper new cabinets, and painting brick, built-in's and fireplaces. It makes the place look new and clean, but all the wonderful old charactor is gone. I would rather keep all the old detail and just paint or wallpaper the walls and quit there if I don't have the budget to restore everything. Everybody thinks that they have to remodel, not restore so that everything looks brand new every few years, and they are totally destoying all of these beautiful old and historic homes. It's shameful. Great job Brett! Maybe seeing your show will teach people some things about restoration vs. gutting.
I grew up in Hemet Ca, right near Redlands and Riverside. My dad was a tile contractor in the 1940’s and 50’s. Sometimes Brett will go into a tiled kitchen or bathroom and it looks just like my dads tile work. Takes me back to the few times I got to help him on his job site.
In this television sewage of shitty reality shows that pander to our lowest denominator (Kardashians and spoiled housewives). I love watching his show because it's not drama nor contrived personality conflicts...It's about the beautiful homes and bringing them back to life! He truly has a passion and a talent I call him the House Whisperer! LoL He knows his stuff! I would love to purchase a house and have him restore and modify!
Love your show! Great to see restoration vs. remuddling. I want to create a chain of title for my 140 year old Victorian in the Pacific NW. I'd like to use one like those I see framed on the walls of your restorations. Is it a template that I can download?

Hi, Are you a fan of my show restored?
Why, oh why, do people paint over the original wood work? I just don't understand.
His show is on DIY not HGTV
What is the drafting software and tablet you used in the show
My school is directly across the street
Did the new owners end up having you restore this house? I would have loved to buy this house and have you restore it. Missed opportunity for sure.
Hi, Are you a fan of my show restored?
How do we get a hold of you sir ???
I can't stop laughing every time I see this guy. Everytime I see him I picture Sheriff Woody from Toy Story!!!!!!
J Mac that’s what I told my husband just now..he reminds me of woody from the toy story!! 😁
Why does this guy think Douglas fir is so great? It's cheap lumber wood for construction.
