Great video. I've been using AD 200 Pro's since 2017 in my high volume school photography business here in Western Australia. From outdoor portraits to lighting up a white vinyl background, they handled the job perfectly without any heating issues whatsoever. It's always good to have a second battery charged to quickly swap over after about 500 shots on 1/8th output! We've had them for about 5 years now and from a school photographer's perspective, they just keep on going - even after they've been dropped onto a hard floor with a few cracks and bits of plastic missing from their housing!
Thank goodness that he did not reveal in this video that you can do likewise in a studio shoot, even going so far as to use a softbox to light the flat that will eventually light the talent. Way to save mega bucks on in studio lighting is to have large reflectors instead of a 6 foot softbox... hello v-flats (of whatever make and model you can make or buy).
I love the fact that this system simplifies many tools into one. I'm really the minimalist as I am growing into photography, and I easily don't see myself carrying massive lighting sets to end a job. I really want cost effective but at small portions type of lighting tools. I wouldn't mind having an umbrella or diffuser here and there? But this is super. I just ordered it to work on with my G9.
Picked up the AD200 (not pro) with the XT2 on my Canon 80D and LOVE IT. I shoot primarily outdoors in forests and the ability to control my own light is creating some great shots for my clients. Really helping me especially when using my Sigma 70-200 2.8. I decided to pick up the XR1 to go with my Canon 430EX III-RT for a secondary flash as well a Godox octagon softbox. $$$$ well spend.
I just got this flash kit and I’m loving it. I didn’t realize how much less direct flash you get using the bare bulb attachment though. It’s very soft with no diffusers attached. The regular flash head is very nice.
Thank you! What does your set up look like in an event room? 2 ad200 bouncing off ceiling? Bare bulb? I also had the question of when there is just no white to bounce off in the vicinity?
This was very helpful! quick question: do you have to use a trigger or can you pair this with a Godox V860 on camera as your trigger? (I typically use 3-4 speed lights all paired together for weddings, and just curious if this could be paired)
Have you ever used the round head? I just ordered the AD200Pro just wondering if the round head would make any difference as I want to avoid using softboxes etc on location
I'm a great advocate for the V1 & the AD200. Those are the only speed lights I use, except for one Nikon. I bought it before I found out about Godox. I So many of the places I shoot in Albuquerque have flat black ceilings. I HATE that. No strobe or speedlight will bounce off flat black.
wow, what a co incident... just watching this video on 10/10/20 as shown in the invitation but this video is uploaded in 2019. check the video at 7 minute 17 sec. Congratulations Lissa and Cameron
I have a ad200 not pro and v1 will the v1 be able to control the ad200 say across a packed dance floor in a wedding ceremony ...I have the xpro but it would be great to have the v1 on camera with some attached and the ad200 for that added light coming across ?👍
Hey Taylor, do you find any differences or advantages in using the softbox rather than a parabolic umbrella softbox? I find softboxes to be heavy or rather "bulky" compared to the umbrellas. Let me know!
Hey Taylor. Just subscribed. I’m using Godox lights and love their versatility especially when using all the different modifiers put out by Godox. By the way, your model Clarissa is beyond gorgeous.
Hi sir I have godox v1 and ad 200pro. My question is if I use high speed sync on both of these, how much power do I lose? And if I buy a variable ND filter, which stop number is the best option for me to shoot at day time 2-5stop or 6-9stop? I'm interested in freewell variable nd filter. Is that filter provide me better quality for shooting backlight?

As long as you don’t have to over power bright sun. I’d recommend the v1 first and then the ad200 as a second flash if you shoot events. Studio maybe ad200 first
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto I own the TT685 and thought of creating a mini portable studio set up with a Bowens adapter and a few after market softboxes - do you personally think I'd be able to achieve good results with that kind of set up before investing heavily into additional flash units such as the AD200 etc etc
How about using the Godox with a single voice activated compact modifier that doesn’t try to cancel the ambient but rather follows the direction of ambient and softens and enhances the natural shadows.
He'd do great in nj. Cops in this state hate when ppl try to make a living for themselves. There's a few who try to fine you for using your phone to take photos 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️

I like the video, Thank You! I just got my Ad200 pro
It would have been cool if you showed with and without to see the impact this fixture makes while shooting outside but thanks for the info...
Totally agree with this one!

for that first outside shot i would've loved to have seen a natural light shot to compare it against. just to show the difference. thanks Taylor
She would have been really dark compared to the outside so the outside would have to be overexposed or she would have to be under exposed
Broooooo! You completely changed my perspective on OCF!! I thought I always needed a soft box, but apparently not! Thank you Taylor!

I was thinking of buying a soft box as well, I am guessing you can use a tripod for the Ad200 pro right?
Or do I need an adapter with tripod
I have to thank you. I have the Adc200 pro and always used the reflector. I will try your way. thanks.

Is the receiver okay? Never got trouble?

Taylor, do you have a tutorial for Godox V1 Xpro with Nikon?
May I ask what tripod do you use?
Exactly what I'm wondering as well.
You are a billion times more helpful than any college photography course! Thanks for the amazing content!
Hah thanks so much!
Wow ! I wanted AD200 but hated load of soft boxes. Thanks Taylor I am going to buy a AD200 now.
Hello do you shoot on aperture mode? thanks
Sometimes. Not too often though since I’m usually doing video
Beginner photographer here.
With the off Camera flash like the godox ad 200 .. can it Shoot in Continuous/Burst mode?
Thank you! What does your set up look like in an event room? 2 ad200 bouncing off ceiling? Bare bulb? I also had the question of when there is just no white to bounce off in the vicinity?
hi, What that softbox you have used here ?
Good job
Where can i find a stand like this

Would an AD200 Pro with Round head accessory replace your V1? Also, which trasnmitter do you prefer...X2 or XPro?
This was a phenomenal video!
Thanks for this. Most OCF videos now are exaggerating the effects of it. Your kept it real.
Taylor you need to get the round head attachment for the ad200 and then throw the AKR1 accessory dome on it

What stand is that?
The space lighting reference 🤌
Great video using minimal items
great video

I have a 6D and just bought Ad200 and X2T. Do I need to setup anything on the camera? Or just settings on the trigger?
Speedlight Godox TT350F is good or not for wedding photograpghy?
I have a ad200 not pro and v1 will the v1 be able to control the ad200 say across a packed dance floor in a wedding ceremony ...I have the xpro but it would be great to have the v1 on camera with some attached and the ad200 for that added light coming across ?👍

Cheers for the tips. I normally shoot octa or magsphere with my ad200 never tried the bare bulb off walls before!
Do u recommend the Godox XPro or X2T?
I have Godox flashes and I am definitely going to try some of these ideas.
great video & use of the ad200 .. i often use it bare bulb/freznel head on my run & gun street shoots
Hey Taylor. Just subscribed. I’m using Godox lights and love their versatility especially when using all the different modifiers put out by Godox. By the way, your model Clarissa is beyond gorgeous.
hoping someone can help me here, I have a Canon M6 mkii, can I use this flash with it? Another question, Is there really a camera that has an iso 31?
Great Video
I use a 26 inch octabox on a lightstand and a 5lb ankle weight. So far it has worked for me. Its not too big.
Great video. I Iike your style.

“But… I don’t” I laughed so hard😂😂😂
I learned a lot from your videos. Thankz man and i like your sense of humor😍😂😂😂
You work alot like me, i come from an editorial background which just requires you to work quickly and 'what ever works'. Cheers
Superb its surprising
First time watching your video!
Love the style, love the sincerity :)
Thanks for sharing.
MR. Taylor Jackson. you are a master of your arts
Great video - I love this lens too! Please do a before and after with natural light and then the Good light bounce pic. Thanks!
Great video learned so much, by the way what camera strap are you using?
This was super helpful! Thank you!
What's the name of your camera strap?
Camera and cameraman ❤️
Can you achieve this with the AD200 ?
Nicely done my man! Wanna try this myself
Wow great idea brother 👍💪
You can use nd filters to save power and f for bokeh
I bought the ad 200 pro today. When I turn it on it constantly makes a clicking sound. Does anyone have the same problem?
Thanks

Nice to know, just in case I forget my modifiers. Thank you!
on your Posted settings of the images it shows ISO 31 is that correct?
Yep
Different style of using the ad200. I saw another photographer use the ad200 with grid and the magsphere.
How did you shoot with shutter speed above sync speed.
1WorldAroundYou now a days full frame cameras come along with a feature called high speed sync
I’ve been doing weddings for 17 years and I think you are my spiritual twin lol
nice jordan 1
Really good
Brilliant channel
Hi, i use 2 godox v860ii, it is same ad 200?
2X80 watts versus 200 watts
@@msntung tks
I dont know what Im doing wrong or if its just my camera capability. My Sony only hits 1/200 with my ad200 pro and xps pro, your at 1/4000!?
Thanks!
Excellent review
How to set 1/4000
Amazing
Great video nice
Magmod magsphere w/o grid and/or otc is an easy set up.
Hey! I don’t live too far from you and I’d assist you to hold light stands if you ever needed! Lol
Hi! Do you think that the same result you achieved with the AD200 could be done with a speedlite from Godox?
Thanks!
As long as you don’t have to over power bright sun. I’d recommend the v1 first and then the ad200 as a second flash if you shoot events. Studio maybe ad200 first

what if you’re surrounded with dark walls .. how then?
what about the models ? i want to follow them on instagram
NOW THAT'S A COMMERCIAL (APPLAUSE!!!)
If you care about the color of the light you have to be careful with what surface you bounce off of.
Super👌

The AD200 pro goes down to 1/256 power.

Perfect!!
I will be honest with you - more impressed with that Gelendvagen which i will not be able to afford in my life.
