yeah the worst was the kraton 4s v2 colors😂 I love how my car drives but man the body is so ugly. hope they have clipless body updates for the V3. the body clips are a pain to get on and out too!
Absolutely.!! 👍 👍 And that new chassis design to keep the dirt & rocks out, I'm constantly having to dig rocks out of the steering of my Senton, even with a chassis net fitted.! I've had two of them, a V1 & V3 & I still use it a lot.

These colors schemes are so cool. They’ve been going all in with the 90s colors lately lol, love it! The center diff in the 3S line is gonna be sick, hopefully one day brushed motors and slippers are a thing of the past haha

As always, a super detailed review & drive.!! 👍 👍 👍 It's reviews like this that have made this one of my very favourite RC channels. I love the revisions Arrma has made to the Senton, the centre diff is a fantastic addition along with the beefy bumpers & the new dirt & rock chassis protection.! One of the biggest problems with the Senton is the way rocks keep getting jammed in the steering, you can usually just flip it over & operate the steering to get them out, but often you'll need a tool to dig them out.! I'm not sold on the two in one ESC & reciever, but seeing as it's Spectrum it'll most likely die the first time I run it in the Scottish rain anyways & I'll be replacing it with a Hobbywing WP-SC8 ESC & a Dumborc reciever so it's not really an issue.! 😉 😉 😁😁 Seriously, I've had two Sentons, a Granny & a Big Rock, the ESCs all died within weeks followed shortly by the servos.!!! Those uppers to keep leaves and sticks out is awesome . I was noticing how much less gets into a 4s outcast when I ran a granite afterwards it got pretty full of mulched leaves and leaves and sticks , acorns and tops . Once in a while a stick down in the steering . I still don’t care because the RC s are pretty good and take a cartwheel pretty good and some 10’ high jumps decent .
Il keep them till they die. I try keeping my rigs stock anyway and enjoy they as they come. Adding swaybars which should have some stock. I think they have downgraded esc to keep the price down tbh.
@chrisvda7277 do you know if the dx5 pro is compatible with this set up. I use my one radio so I can drive one handed for youtube videos. Plus multi model memory I feel I couldn't live without. I agree on the downgrade to keep the price point the same tbh.
@INSIDIOUS-ONE The SCT bodies affects the performance on the ground and in the air. All my SCTs drive better without there bodies on. They prefer is naked 😎💪

Nice release from Arrma. The only thing that's a turn-off is the ESC. And it did look a bit slower than the old version (or I don't remember correctly 😅) Nice review as usual 😊
Looks great. Honestly tho I'm not crazy about the 80 amp esc. I'd prefer at least 100amp in it. 2 in 1 would bother me less if it was higher amp. Also the stability is a big deal but if you replace the esc you lose it.
Hello, which differentials are installed? On the German Horizon Hobby homepage the 4S metal diffs are in the description, but in the exploded view the plastic diffs are. Thank you
Im not sold on this new version. Like the old one more, and it is easy to put a metal spur on it. If going to a center diff sct, I think still prefer the TA SC10.
I love that body color! Pink, purple, and sky blue? 😍 MSM did a review also. The bad points are terrible air control, and the tires rub the inside of the body. It didn’t affect the performance, but that’s really annoying. 😂 Probably some pre load shock spacers to raise it up could solve the tires rubbing.

I like the body and chassis upgrades but the 2 in 1 esc means I'm gonna look what Corally are going to do with their 4s line which also have center diffs but at least on the syncro has an esc I can use with my own receiver. As others mentioned pro4 sc10 is better value for me, at this point I want rollers for the 223s line.
Small rocks are this platforms biggest weakness, they chew up the center driveshaft and get lodged in the steering linkage. In theory the taller side guards should help but probably wont be a cure.
Does it still have plastic differentials? I'd be curious to know considering stripping those out were a bigger issue than the slipper clutch for most people.
Like minded😂, the very 1st thing I did after the announcement was go shop the parts diagram to see what they did to the diffs. Looks like they swapped out the old composite input/pinion gear for the metal one, but are sticking with the old diff case which has the composite ring gear. Which is odd since Arrma originally recommended changing to a metal ring gear if you upgraded to a metal input pinion. Anyway, for me, those pinions would grind down long before they started eating into with the ring gear, so Arrma seems to have addressed that weakness for the most part.
@@JT-6s I wonder how that's going to work. I'm very happy with my 4s upgraded diffs much stronger than even the 6s trucks. Maybe they'll hold up better with a center diff. The slipper on these v3 cars was very locked down which caused a lot of issues for most people
@@FLPatrick1095 Yeah, I’ve never had problems on any of my 3s vehicle front diffs, just the rear diffs where the slipper puts most of the power down. I just swap the whole rear assembly out for all metal, but I’ve heard of people having success just upgrading to the metal input gear. Having a metal input gear combined with the center diff on this v4, I doubt there will be the same diff issues as on the v3’s.
Razor, what's your opinion on this vs an Associated Pro4 for a backyard loose dirt track? Since this was released now I'm not sure which I should buy, they are about the same price.
2in1 esc on this level of a RC Car. Not even an external receiver port like the boost and mega line had. I always saw that as a huge plus, i could add my own receiver without haveing to replace the esc immediately. To big of steps back for me to be interested in the steps forward... Just my 2 cents.
The 2 in one esc seems like a cheap way to go. But who know it’s probably the way into the future. I Would rather see two in one motor esc combos instead though.
I think the arrma stuff can be great but their refusal to use 12mm hexes like the rest of the world makes me steer clear of them. Finally got spectrum to stop using 23t, can we please get arrma to use 12mm hex?
The 12mm hexes are available directly from Arrma for 12$, ARA310816. This issue pales in comparison to other manufacturers' proprietary B.S. It's a non-issue for me.

Obviously you got this on release and they will send you more if you’re positive but the only positive thing I can see on this is the strength on the back end! Does it really need a center diff? Probably not, and to put an esc receiver combo in is such a fail! All the 3s v3 versions I’ve owned have been so good because you can swap out servo’s and make it what you want, looks like Arrma are going for basic electronics for a big price. This is a V4-8 a V3+2 😂

The Fury was ugly and although the previous body of the Senton was beautiful, they loved the Fury ugliness and continued the legacy!!!! It might me a fantastic rig though , but it will remain ugly !!!!
I run a Spektrum 4000kv in my Gorgon. It's a little terror on 3s. It'd be fine in a truck this size and weight. Those tires are pretty narrow compared to basher tires.
The only upgrades I see over the old model are the center diff and tie rod pivot balls. Everything else looks like a step backwards. I won’t be buying this one.
2 in 1 ESC!!! Nooooooo. 🤦 Why would they do that on a 1/10 scale??? Two steps forward, one step back. And that colour is awful!! Did ARRMA hire colour blind people to paint the bodies on these trucks? The green one is passable, but this pink thing makes my eyes burn. 🤮 I want to get this truck so much, but that ESC is giving me second thoughts... Can you bind it to a DX5C?

My local track is allowing the rwd arrma trucks in the stock slash class. They seem dead even speed-wise, but for even cheaper

Center diff is worth the 2in1, in my opinion. It's great for an RTR, and anyone that wants to go bigger would want a better ESC and RX anyhow.

MSM wouldn't know air control unless it was printed on a Traxxas box. Even then he'd be wrong just like everything else printed on Traxxas boxes, lol.

On the exploded view on website they also now have a plastic cover over the center driveshaft to heatsink? Can't make it out on here tho

Yes I think they're the same. I stripped a plastic spur gear in the old ones a couple of times, but never a diff.

The pro4 is lacking off road performance, although it does perform well with real 3s power! The senton well get up and run

12mm just buy the set , 14mm , 17mm etc are stronger . Plus there are a ton of options for 14mm on the market .
12mm hexs strip out very easily from my experience. I like that Arrma uses 14m tires just wish were more brands made tires for them

I'll have to reserve judgement for the full review, because now that I have the manual, I can see my ESC wasn't calibrated all the way.

Too bad the ESC's BEC can only output 6V instead of 8.4V that the servo can use.
Only an 80A ESC ? That's a backward step, i always struggled to keep the 100A Firma ESC cool on 3S in my Vorteks BLX.

The Fury was ugly and although the previous body of the Senton was beautiful, they loved the Fury ugliness and continued the legacy!!!! It might me a fantastic rig though , but it will remain ugly !!!!

I run a Spektrum 4000kv in my Gorgon. It's a little terror on 3s. It'd be fine in a truck this size and weight. Those tires are pretty narrow compared to basher tires.

The only upgrades I see over the old model are the center diff and tie rod pivot balls. Everything else looks like a step backwards. I won’t be buying this one.

@@AussieRCPlayground haha, I kind of like the colors. Well, I would have preferred the yellow or red, but at least it’s easy to see! I’m guessing the 2-in-1 was to offset the cost of the center diff, DSC, massive body and bumper reinforcements and better servo while only adding $10 to the price. I don’t think you can bind it to a DX5C. Thanks for checking out the video!
