    I really liked the casual feel of this video. I think having some videos on the channel with less explanation of what you're doing is nice, and I love the establishing shot at 4:21. The quietness didn't feel forced, and the talking that was there made the video feel more real (sometimes silence in bushcraft videos seems inauthentic).

      Much appreciated feedback my friend! I was thinking about the editing of another roundhouse video, and will take note of your feedback that just a little bit of talking in a more ASMR orientated makes it feel more real. Cheers! :)

    Very nice! I particularly liked that you were able to get four boards out of a single log. The other primitive tech channels that I watch only manage to get two double-thick boards per log when using a froe, so I was beginning to wonder if it was just too difficult to form thinner boards that way.

    • @SmoothGefixt
      @SmoothGefixt  Год назад +2

      It really depends on the log, if you have the finest of grain, it splits easily and consitant, thin. But most logs have twists, nots, etc..

    • @MrBenjigee
      @MrBenjigee Год назад +1

      @@SmoothGefixt that was a nice piece of wood! I got a bit nervous when you were hammering in the pegs close to the edge of the boards, but I didn't see any splitting. The fact you used good wedging technique helped of course. Great job!
