Thanks Nathan for sharing! I remember seeing your camera on your bike, footage looks great but WOW those climbs look bigger in person ;) For reference, I was the guy wearing the grey/black "Alaska Allstars" jacket and black/orange pants (I live in Wisconsin not Alaska).
Impressive ride and great footage/stats. That's fun to see someone at the front of the pack. I'm very impressed with the speed you guys maintained. You were just 10 short seconds behind my friend Kevin... I was looking for him in your video. I attended alone on a whim and this was my first year riding this event (21K). I had a blast. I'll be back. Thanks for posting the cool footage... especially adding the biometrics and GPS data. That made the video. Well done.
Thanks for posting, Nathan! Looked at the results and it looks like I was right there behind ya!! Super fun to watch the video and relive the glory. This was my first year riding out there and was definitely one of the most fun races I've ever done. Cheers, and thanks again!
We drove out from Colorado, so I don't think so. Maybe you mistook spectators yelling "no cryin'!" for "go Ryan"? -since it looked like I was about to cry the whole time.
Hey Nathan, great footage. Can you estimate what psi you were running? Most of the tires seem to be pumped up a bit with firm conditions like at the start. What range of psi do you generally run in various conditions? Thanks so much.
Indescritível, sensacional, extraordinario, magnífico. Parabéns a tds organizadores e também a os participantes.

Sounded like you had some fans out on the course. I kept hearing cheering for a guy named Ryan. Might have been you!

Too bad the battery died, was pulling for you to catch the next group at the end. Hoping for Similar conditions this year.
Wouldn’t want to make contact with those studded tyres in any crash!

Recommended psi varies by rider weight and conditions. I'm guessing I was running about 8psi that day as the trail was quite firm.
I can imagine the rolling resistance those tires must have.
Nice footage! Chest mount? What kind of camera? What did you use to put the performance indicators in i.e. heart rate, speed, etc..?
GoPro Session 5, bar mount, and used Garmin VIRB to compile the vid with my hr and gps data from my polar v800.
Nathan Long thanks! Figured it was VIRB but wanted to make sure.
the bike i have seen has 26" wheels as apposed to 27.5 much difference ?
do i go fully rigid ?
I want a fat bike !
What was your tire pressure ?
Recommended psi varies by rider weight and conditions. I'm guessing I was running about 7-8psi that day as the trail was quite firm.
