It was more like a hard training ride with my good friend Steve. Rode together with him the whole race till I passed him right before the end. Couldn't ask for better conditions and trails!
I did. Steve wiped out in front of me with about 2 miles to go and I passed him. He ended up dropping his chain in the process, so it was an easy win for me. It was fun to ride together for nearly the entire race.
