Yes, I totally agree with you!! Articulation was very much lacking in dolls when I was a kid! And head swapping opens up so many possibilities for fashionistas that I might not get otherwise! 😁

Lovely collection!! I was not a fan when mtm came out, but now, i love them..😊 I found a lot of Ever After Hight dolls at a local flea market and now the EAH girls are on mtm bodies....love redressing them...And i have a few other mtm girls as well...thank you for you videos...beautiful dolls!!!!

Have any of your made to move Barbies come with joints that won’t move? I’ve read that I’m supposed to heat the joint, but I think that would make the joint even stiffer.
I don’t recall any of mine coming with joints that were stiff to the point of not moving at all, but I definitely had a couple with joints that needed some help to get bending as much as they’re supposed to. I don’t know how advisable it is but any time they weren’t getting a full bend, I have used force to get the joints moving and have thankfully never snapped a limb off though I’m sure this is a risk. Heating up plastic to get it soft enough to manipulate is a method I have used on dolls for other applications like removing heads to body swap them, and in my experience any plastic that has been heated in this process has returned to its original state after it cools down. Once you get the joint to finally bend, in my experience it’s good to go and keeps on bending. So I wouldn’t be worried about making it any stiffer personally. Sorry I can’t be more helpful! I hope you get it bending!! 😁
