There was never a blueprint, there was never a Patriots Way, Tom Brady said he had never heard that phrase until the media made it up. Nick obviously worked with WR's and he has found the best talent available when drafting Nico and Tank, he traded up for both. Diggs was the fall back after Allen trade fell through. Nick is not thinking backwards, he is communicating with Bobby and found route running separators. This is West Coast passing more than the Patriots '07 vertical threat passing.

Just because he didn’t hear the phrase doesn’t mean the system wasn’t designed to will, he was just the main piece

@@eddiekane3 I would chalk it up to the old adage "Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut." Meaning the Patriots lucked into Brady in that 6th round pick. Bill drafted quantity over quality, for as many hits as he had. there were significant misses. It is also no coincidence that Bill was only a winning coach with Brady, not before or after. That is not a system, that is just one of the most driven players of all time.

This exactly the comparison I was thinking of I even went on Wikipedia to verify Casserio was the Pats the year they got Moss.. I didn’t realize he was the receivers coach. Yeah we’re going to the Super Bowl

Nico is bigger, stronger and is a menace to try and tackle. I agree his ceiling is probably...... well ...... most likely NOT RANDY MOSS. However, a Julio Jones ceiling is within reach. That's not a hot take either,I actually believe that!!The best is yet to come for Nico. Kick rocks hater

@texan2547 The window will be open as long as the QB is on a rookie contract. After that it's difficult to sign players as well as CJ.

Demeco Ryans said that all three of our top wr's are all different in size and styles. Defenses will have a hard time covering the Texans wr's in man coverage. Also Diggs will be an asset to the team and he has his old friend Case Keenum in the shadows keeping him calm. Diggs also has a lot incentive to do well this year for the next contract and he gets to play against Minnesota and Buffalo this year.

You want to compare Nico Collins to Randy Moss? Let’s start with their 40 yd time. Randy Moss-4.22, Nico Collins-4.42 Nuff said.
