There's also the small issue of the EV meter installation charge of either €50 (1-phase) or €80 (3-phase) which needs to be added to the total obtained by the units consumed. I think that this installation charge coupled with the monthly meter-rental makes the EV meter installation a little on the "no" rather than the "yes" for the meter's installation. in my honest opinion, one has to do one's homework prior to installing the meter.
I really wanted to buy an EV but without a garage to charge it at home, i don't feel it's feasible yet. Malta is still very lacking in the public charging scene. I travel very frequently to mainland Europe by car and sometimes even do 3000-4000km trips. Charging an EV in Europe is very expensive. Costs more per 100kms than petrol and diesel. I opted for a Self Charging Hybrid this year instead.. Maybe in 12-15 years time. Hopefully by then the technology will be better.
Very useful video
Thank you
Thanks, you’re welcome

Correct regarding the application fee, however I feel this is negligible based on the years of ownership of the vehicle.
im going to take a guess before watching......over 2 euros?
