I recently got turned on to this record / band. I can't believe I didn't get into them sooner. They are great. And even the new record is great. I miss bands that sound like this.
After being on my playlist for months and only listening here and there on bike rides, this album is the only thing I listen to. This songs stick in my head and cant wait to ride my bike again lol
OhMyGod! I didn’t realise but this RUclips video displays each track on the screen when you get to that track. I thought it was a still picture. That is so cool. 😎
Beatlesque.. but with 27 more times the syrup, the trance, the sustain, the groove, the dreaminess, the poetic lyrics, the mesmerising churn, the lyrical guitars..........
Actually i’m here because currently i’m listening to their whole discography in order in Spotify, and indeed 99th Dream isn’t there 😬. All the rest of the albums are there
i would rather say that this album is a futuristic hot rod fueled by psychedelic waves cruising trough galaxies beyond human perceptioooooooooooonnnnnn !!!!!!!!!
I play this kind of stuff for over-caffienated guitarists that think they have to do shred spaghetti stuff to show their skills. I say: :"Stop playing for your musician buddies. Play for the PEOPLE!" The great writing and arranging that happens in this particular band is an example of TASTE and TONE over "how many notes can I cram into this measure?". They are also TENACIOUS in their delivery - even at their most melodic "chick friendly". They satisfy the 3 tenets of ZZ Top's credo, and also King Crimson's "Craft Before Commerce" credo. This is a top notch band - I don't love them like they're my favorite, but I like 'em pretty good. I may grow to love them - especially if I meet a cute Millennialette. Please roast me for my Old Gen X guy attitude.
Probably missing from streaming more due to the various label's it ended up on. It's still on Amazon music but I keep my hard copies just in case. The excellent juggernaut rides compilation of all the ep songs (which is a couple of albums worth and the first ones are better than raise) has never turned up on streaming either sadly. Could never be without this band.
@@ForrestCokely So do I. But these days there are people who think Tame Impala are psychedelic!?!? The Swervies had the correct approach. It's a sensibility...and that can't be learned!
Jez doesn’t get enough credit. He’s a really good drummer. Now he’s like a lawyer or an attorney or something. Allmusic had the audacity to call him a wannabe, but I genuinely think he was one of the best drummers of the 90s
The bonus tracks on the first three singles are all non-album tracks and prove that 'Raise' could easily have been a double. I saw them twice and both times they were SO impressive! An awesome noise!
Oh my, this is absolutely delightful. I love this.

Mee and You both Bro!!!
Where is the shoegazing rock of today?

Best album ever! And most underrated ever!!!
Unforgettable band. Thank you Adam & all the guys for making such great records. Blessings

First Ejector Seat Reservation wasn't on Spotify, and now it is, but they took off 99th Dream... ya just can't win!
yeah I really dont get it
@@ivanbozic477 Total bullshit!
What 🐂 💩😕
Isn't it because they're trying to move away from Spotify because they're underpaid? I heard it was something like that
Actually i’m here because currently i’m listening to their whole discography in order in Spotify, and indeed 99th Dream isn’t there 😬. All the rest of the albums are there
Architecture, nature, alcohol, space travel , rock n roll!
And in the case of 99th Dream, a lot of parabolic dishes :)
i would rather say that this album is a futuristic hot rod fueled by psychedelic waves cruising trough galaxies beyond human perceptioooooooooooonnnnnn !!!!!!!!!
Whoa man that must have been some good-ass weed you had 7 years ago
just ordered the new vinyl and now listening for the first time here, cheers
I’m so glad one is able to find this album on RUclips. Because It’s no longer available on I tunes
wrong treats killer tune!

Right on dude
Sublime. Swervedriver does it for me every time. 💞💞💞💞
A perfect album.
The best band ever, hands down no debate.
Such a great album and band, love them.

definitely one of the top five bands ever!
The Last Of The Great English Psych Bands!!
Though I agree that they are a Great Eng Psych Band, I hope they are not the last!
@@ForrestCokely So do I. But these days there are people who think Tame Impala are psychedelic!?!? The Swervies had the correct approach. It's a sensibility...and that can't be learned!
Behind the scenes is one of there best
YES, my fav
wish they had this album on spotify, they have all the others
they did, idk wtf happened tho :(

Great album, like Oasis for people with actual souls
I hear the Oasis a bit - more mix and production result than anything else, IMO
So Lennon in his voice. Love it.
Thanks for posting!
Not my favorite album of theirs but 'These Times' is one of my favorite Swervedriver songs.
It WAS on Spotify and now it isn't. Spotify, what the fuck dude? Anyway, truly a splendid album
meraviglioso
Radiohead owes these guys a lot.
Oasis too.
@@darkforest3333 I get the desire to give lesser known bands some love, but both of those are *totally* off base.
Swervedriver is from the late 80s, early 90s? Probably contemporaneous with aforementioned bands?
That's space times and rock and roll. The mannekins blank face still okay
Space travel rock and roll
The mannequin's blank face reveals how you feel
So glad we're so surreal
I think it's their best or at least my favorite.
Sounds like from another era maybe influenced by Beatles and 60s psychedelic vibes.
Amazing album, amazing band.
where is 99th dream on Spotify?? anyone know?
They were dropped by their major label before finishing the album, so it only got released on CD by a small indy label.
@@romanval69 i got a promo of the cd before the drop, it was finished.
#2024
The only track missing from Juggernaut Rides is "Up From the Sea." Just brilliant, that track, yeah?
William Sullivan yes, the undersea bubbles at the end are perfect
I would have to say she weaves a tender trap has to be absolute musical genious and wasn't included on juggernaut rides why?
There could have been a third disc for Juggernaught Rides, couldn't there?

@@andythomas706 I'm putting together my own Raise 2 album from the b-sides and outtakes from that era. It's sounding good.
❤️
I was expecting the worst after the 'Ejector Seat Reservation' album, surprisingly however, this is rather good.
ESR is possibly their best album
@@travellingshoes5241 this band does not have a best or worst album, the simply swerve trough those human constructs, and ESR kicks ass.
Ejector seat is a great album
I also think ESR is their best l.p.
Who's the 4 idiots that thumbs this down.
I'd crash em all for swervedriver, love Gauda.

i bought this album cos Ed said Swervedriver were great. Sucks so bad I mailed it to him and said WTF.
Then he said no no I mean Mezcalhead is great.
You're missing out on this bud
