Not as many people are seeing movies due to Covid anyway. 1."Enterprise" deserves 3 more seasons; 2. No more blasted holoprogramme by "TNG", etc. should interrupt "Enterprise" episodes, and 3. Trip is NOT dead! His story should be in the Romulan War arc. since he was infiltrating them. He faked his death. Read "The Good That Men Do" and the others that followed it (skipping the idiotic "DS9" holoprogramme story- it interfered with the story like 'TATV' did to the last episode and took out what was important (Trip's trip to the Vulcan ship and meeting with T'Pol during Archer's speech) and put in what wasn't (Pegasus, Troi's talk with Data, etc.).

    Scott MacDonald (born 24 October 1959; age 64) is an actor who appeared in the first four live-action Star Trek television spin-offs. His most frequent Star Trek role was that of the Xindi-Reptilian Dolim during the third season of Star Trek: Enterprise.
    After his first appearance as Tosk in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's "Captive Pursuit", MacDonald was promised a less makeup-intensive role in any future Trek appearances. However, three more characters he played required extensive makeup: that of a Romulan, a Jem'Hadar and a Xindi-Reptilian. However, he did get the opportunity to play a Human, Rollins, in the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Caretaker". During this episode, his character was placed in command of the USS Voyager while the senior officers were away - a rarity for a non-regular character in Star Trek.

    1:26 This is more/less what would have helped Voyager as a series. Look at the Enterprise. It's still closer to Starfleet than Voyager ever was during its tenure, yet venturing into unfamiliar territory and encountering hostile forces every so often left its mark on the ship. A ship far from home, with limited resources and a greater uncertainty of who is and isn't a possible ally should look like it's been ridden roughly.

    I thought Enterprise and Deep Space Nine were the best of the lot. I like the original of course but the first four films were much better than the very dated look of the TV series. In my opinion just like the original TV series, DS9 and Enterprise had the most believable crews. Nothing wrong with TNG but its not as good as the 3 I favor. I dont even want to talk about Voyager, what really finished it for me was that ridiculous episode with the totally unreal holodeck field extended way beyond believability. If Kurtzman made this they would be swearing every 4 seconds and then Admiral Forrest would warp out of nowhere in a shuttle to help the NX-01. Oh but the NX-01 would have 50,000 shuttlepods now and a turbolift system that is stored in a warehouse that somehow fits inside of a starship.

    What always bugged me was the fact there was no single ship near Earth when this superweapon arrived. Surely on Earth they were aware of the situation and even the Vulcans could have send a dozen of ships to protect Earth. And Earth itself had other vessels as well. Where were they? And why wasn't that Verteron array (we see in season 4) on Mars not used? That array had enough power to destroy half the moon.

    • @TheDjbz
      @TheDjbz 6 лет назад +1

      The ships is a valid point.
      The Verteron array depends on where Mars is on its orbit as to if it'd be any use. (Plus aiming a weapon at a target 2 light minutes away would be tricky as hell)

      Earth's starships (a few warp 2 patrol ships) were obviously out of position. I have 2 hypothesis. Either they were simply out of position [after all, Xindi vortex technology is fairly unfamiliar], or they were escorting an evacuation convoy

    This series deserved at least a couple more seasons, and an honorable finish.
    Instead of getting the Earth-Romulan war, and decades of frontier conflict with the Klingons, all we got was a backalley coathanger-abortion performed by Riker and Troi. I have never forgiven the franchise for this, and I have never forgiven those two ‘actors’ for participating in it. TNG-castedTrek and all the WokeTrek that followed haven’t gotten Dollar One from me since then.
    I don’t own any of it.
    I WON’T own any of it.
    I wont give them another iota of my finite viewing-time.
    I’ll never spend another dime supporting that franchise until they make good on their promise to the fans and give the first Enterprise a proper finish to her story arc.
    REBOOT.
