Hello thanks alit for the vids. I have a quick question. I have a Giant Propel with Ultegra groupo and 65 mm section wheel im the back, 35 mm or so up front. Can I takle this mountain with it, or do I need to borrow something shallower? My goal is simply to finish, time does not really matter, thank you.
Yes you can use a 65mm in the back but a shallower, lighter wheel helps alot. Anything lighter weight helps but is not absolutely necessary. The most important is having proper low gears to make it up the steep parts especially near the end. Think 34 chainring x 32, 36, 40 cog cassette. Watch any Taiwan KOM video and see people zig zag across the road or walking. They do not have a good low gear, maybe only 34 x 28. Hope this helps
thank you
Great!
