My guest today is Ray Dalio, Founder, Co-Chairman, and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Bridgewater Associates, the fifth most important private company in the US, according to Fortune magazine. According to Forbes, he is the 69th Richest person in the world, and he has been called the “Steve Jobs of Investing” by Wired magazine, and named one of the top 100 Most Influential People by TIME magazine.
He is also the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller, Principles, which explains and outlines the principles that he lives and works by to create massive amounts of success in his life and business. And now, he’s become an author for the second time with his new book, The Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail. This new book explores the economic turbulence that has defined the past as well as explains why the future will be radically different. I know it’s a fascinating read - I recommend picking up a copy!
When Ray started out in his entrepreneurial career in 1975, he didn’t have much besides a two-bedroom apartment in New York and an idea. But now, forty years later, Bridgewater Associates is the largest hedge fund in the world!
But despite building one of the most successful private companies ever, Ray doesn’t see himself as anything special. He fundamentally believes that the principles he’s learned are what set him apart and allow him to achieve such massive success. And now, at this stage of his life, he is ready and excited to pass along his wisdom to anyone willing to listen.
It was such a pleasure to dissect the world’s problems and opportunities with Ray. We had a conversation that really stuck with me, and I think you’ll get a lot out of it too. What ray was saying was a way to fight against invasion by overeducated foreigners of USA as they all say current USA citizens are arguers and need to be kicked out from work and allow new. This accident ! Smells fishy not an accident. Ray was showing us how to fight
@@carogibson7109 The good thing about the US printed currency are that it attracted foreign talents but the disadvantage is it created a lot of US couch potatoes.
The second half for Ray starts in his early 70, mine was in my mid 50... the sooner you start discovering your life's meaning and purpose, the happier you will be.

Ray is one of the wisest, most generous men out there.
So generous, is the book free? His app is whack. I almost followed his plan. I didn't really know who he was. I had, lost, and have more than before. I use to believe money makes you wise and keeps you safe. I was happier and freer in the trailer park. Food Pantries then didn't give you fresh fruit, milk, and meats! Funny, I thought I was suffering. Enraged, powerless, and sad. Made sense in a dumpster. Don't make sense now. No excuse! No rhyme, no reason! Good luck in your investments. Keep grinding! More power to you!

I love the jungle analogy. I tried living the ordinary life but then I got cancer and everything changed. I’m in the jungle right now trying to grow my business. Being an independent thinker is the most free there is. It sometimes takes a wake up call to engage it

I come from a poor family in Africa, made my way to California, a single mom. My family is not interested in learning. I tried helping them. That's the problem with some people, they just expect the government to give them money, or they hope for a quick money rich way, which leads them to scams, and they do not learn from them.

Success doesn't come overnight or in blink of eye, but with pain, production, persistence ,believe in your abilities and God.
