- Bridgerton Costume designer- Sophie Canale sits down with the Bridgerton stars Charithra Chandran, Simone Ashley & Nicola Coughlan to discuss the evolution of characters & the progression of the story through colour palettes & fabric choices in the 2nd season of Bridgerton.

My fav has to be Kate's "bane of existence" dress. It was a glorious shade of blue with stars that shone only as she moved. It was silk I presume, which already gives a fabulous shine to the fabric. And the added stars that didn't look out but only could be seen as she walked, was just out of the world.

Edwina in her soft pink tones of dresses looked so cute! She reminded me of the ballerina in the music box!
I love Nicola in this dress. She looks quite good in long, fitted dress.

Season 2 was beautiful!! I hope they keep the jewel tones. Love “Penelope’s journey from Season 1 to Season 2…will I ever forget the bright yellow bee/butterfly (?) dress. Can’t wait to see Season 3 for her! And I LOVED Kate’s bridesmaid dress for her sister’s wedding…I believe that was the pleated back…would love to know what fabric was used for that one.

She hasn't lost weight, is the dresses. In the show the dresses are wider from the bust down so it makes her look bigger that she really is. In real life she wears more form fitting dresses so it shows her true form.
@@LunaSolTerraI was surprised when I saw photos of her not in costume I was like, "SHE HAS BOOBS AND A WAIST!"
I was weirdly happy for her lol...I'm obese (NOT plus sized) but i have similar dressing issues because i am also very short at 5'2" and i have a disproportionately small bust compared to the rest of me. But her body is much more pleasingly proportional than mine but unfortunately the gowns on Bridgerton do her body a great disservice but unfortunately it can't really be helped because the particular style cut was more historically accurate.

it is so so so sad charitra ( whom i love but it is not anthony loves interest so it is not the female lead) got to say " my wedding dress" and simone doesnt. Kate should have her wedding, it is so terrible we didnt see it.
