    Crazy to think it has been 35 years since Randy died :-( It is my opinion that Ozzy's solo career would have been a flop if Randy Rhoads was NOT there at the beginning. Thank you The Metal Voice for sharing this :-) Have a great Sunday \m/ \m/ ROCK ON!!!!!!!

      MrMegaFredZeppelin Thats a fact. Without randy ozzy wouldve been nothing. His black sabbath career had to be shown up by something dark and strange.The classical approach help lend a (not sure if im spelling this right) eerie approach

      the devil cried get real and get a clue. Ozzy's solo career was just getting going good when Randy died. They were playing stadium shows because I saw them at one.

      Astro westlund Me too. Not only is Randy Rhoads the REASON I play guitar, but I also model myself after him in the fact that he was a laid back and kind human being. I'm actually kinda shocked so few Randy fans / Reporters comment on that :)

    The thing about Randy's playing as an influence in the 80's is...his music seemed accessible to the average fledgling guitarist unlike Malmsteen. Although he was incredibly technical , you could play along.
    The first song I learned to play from tablature was Crazy Train in 1981. My first concert was at Popular Creek Music Theater in Hoffman Estates, Il in 1980. Def Leppard opened for them on their first American tour High and Dry.
    Randy was definitely my biggest influence on guitar.

    • @TheKitchenerLeslie
      @TheKitchenerLeslie 6 лет назад

      Donnie Brook Randy was honest about stealing from Eddie, but he added the classical influences and made it his own. Even Edward respected that later on.

    • @Fireglo

      @@TheKitchenerLeslie Randy and Eddie started at the same time he didn't steal nothing. People forget about the Quiet Riot albums.

      @@Fireglo Bullshit. Randy admitted it.

    • @Fireglo
      @Fireglo 6 лет назад +4

      @@TheKitchenerLeslie Nope. His playing style was established before Van Halen 1 came out. A lot of his riffs and solos from the Ozzy albums were carried over from his Quiet Riot days. Maybe there was a slight influence in his later years but to call him a thief is absolutely ridiculous. No guitar player sounded like Randy at the time.

    • @TheKitchenerLeslie
      @TheKitchenerLeslie 6 лет назад +1

      @@Fireglo Yep. Randy admitted he stole a lot from Edward. I think he'd know better than you.

    3:08 Yes! I've been saying it for years, Kelle! Randy, Lee, Bob, Don and Ozzy. You could go back a bit and check out some Priest, but it was defined right there. The first time it sounded like it should. Gothic, baroque and evil. And also fun of course. :D

      Zakk Wylde has RR pocadot guitar & his brown leather vest he sometimes wore. Zakk couldn't get one arm in it. Was i believe in a Guitar mag from the 2000's. Zakk plays it live occasionally. Was RR widow or mother that gave to Mr.Wylde.
