"When you later knows, he's being forced to fight against his wish by the goverment. He's doing this just to free his wife and daughter.
Those lightning veins of his body is due to a lightning strike he took at age of 12. He was miraculously saved and in effect he grew very tall. He was hailed as a national hero in Muay Thai at the age of 18. He got married shortly after and they got a child.
At the age of 24, he met an unknown military group (match-fixer) who wanted to give Fahkumram a massive sum in order him to lose a fight, or should he fail, they will subsequently threaten him with physical harm. (similar how Steve Fox had in Tekken 4). Since 'Ram is having none of that, he knocked out the challenger in a single hit after the gong started. The match-fixing gang got furious and tried to murder him, but they were no match against 'Ram, as he managed to kill several of them in defense.
The cops shortly arrived after the scene, arresting him, (both policemen and soldiers were corrupted by the same military group that Ram met earlier. They even held his wife and daughter as hostage, which giving Ram no choice but to follow their orders.
He's been forced to participate in secret underground martial arts competition and show-fights, fighting tigers and other wild animals (hence the scar on his face). This made him more desperate and disillusioned, by the fact he is unable to see a way out of this, as he gradually lose himself in this extreme act of violence and rage.
4 years later, The fight between Mishima Zaibatsu and G-Corporation is stirring, and the military sees the Zaibatsu as their threat to the nation. So they dispatch Fahkumram for the mission, to participate The King of Iron Fist Tournament and claim the victory there. They promise Ram to set his family free if he fulfills his role they will achieve. Fahkumram joins the fray, determined to win the tournament in order to set his family free.
So yeah, the thing he says "how many left?" is he thinking when will this end so he can go back to his family life. He was represented as a national hero in the past by his genius talent in Muay Thai, only to be used against his will by the corrupted military for illegal betting.
Not only he was fighting for his family, but he himself is innocent.

Muay Thai seriously is one of the most strongest and effective martial art style there is. Scoring points in Muay Thai boxing is not only based on how well u throw kicks and punches but also how well you receive them. Showing all around strengths in both attacking and defending with ease as compared to your opponent is what scores you more points. There's a certain elegance in the way they fight but nothing is boasted nor wasted in executing and receiving attacks which makes it all the more stronger as compared to other traditional martial arts.
Other martial arts style such as kung fu, judo or anything else are good for sports or show only. In real life sizes and strength matters most. Only known martial arts that are effective in real life is muay thai or mma.
Honestly in muay thai you can't rely on the points to win. Them judges be point shaving like crazy especially in Thailand because gambling is allowed in Muay thai fights.

Kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, sambo all martial arts that are effective in real life, and have been proven so. Also it solely depends on the practitioner of the martial art, and how they use it. Sure, Muay Thai and MMA are effective but they are not the only ones that work so you claim

1:53 look at how he doesn't smile after taking the punces from marduk. Adds more to the fact that he's not even evil. He doesn't look like he enjoyed the punches, nor does he like to actually beat marduk.
I feel like the marketing and cinematic language is better overall for Fahkumram because his personality is of a very focused fighter of refined talent without the need to insult his opponent compared to Leroy. Fahkumram doesnt need a rap song to be exposition to the audience of his beliefs and life experiences.

That's sort of how a lot of fighters will act in their fights. Deception is very important in fighting sports, so they might try to look bored or disappointed, sometimes they'll be rolling up their shorts or playing with their hair to make it look like the fight is not hard. Even if the punch did hurt really badly in 1:45, he still would be used to looking strong and not showing pain.
Its been a long time since I felt empathy towards a tekken character. Since most of them go "I must be stronger, I am number one, I will kill you" or stuff like that, Fahkumram actually has a deep story. He doesnt want to fight. He just wants to get his kidnapped wife and daughter back who he hasnt seen for 4 years. And also kick asses of the one who is responsible for all this.
All those scars on his body and face are from fights with several opponents and animals he was forced to fight with since he also was kiddnaped 4 years ago.
Hopefully in the next game they'll give him and his story more attention.

That's it, fights get interrupted to make way for over explaining and exposition. That could make sense, but we, the audience, see Marduk clearly, looking UP at him. Not at eye-level which makes him equal height, as he appears in gameplay. It was a gameplay design decision, but I don't agree with it.

He’s taller in the rendered cutscenes with Marduk because that’s Marduk’s perception of him, seeing him as a threat and his emasculation as #1.

I am inclined to agree because the low camera angles suggest Marduc perceives Fahkumram to be more imposing.

Also he's taller in the cutscene because he's literally floating like 5 inches off the ground, look at his feet at 1:38 when the camera zooms out. Also when Marduk attacks him he forces Fahkumram to crouch, making him look smaller in the very first moment that you see him. Additionally, the camera is slightly tilted away from Fahkumram and towards Marduk, making Fahkumram look even smaller than he should. If I could go back and fix this trailer, I'd start by keeping the camera tilted towards Fahkumram instead, and make sure Marduk isn't using a move that forces crouch. It'd make a huge difference, since they basically did that and in the comments for the new trailer a lot of people are saying how he's "taller" even though his model is still the same height.
Fakumram looks scaled down due to game mechanics, believe he is same height as Sagat or slightly taller. His ingame model head is noticable smaller than other rosters

@Alex Arias I've read his backstory. it's actually kind of sad if you think about it. but it's kind of weird though. according to his biography he stands about 7'2" and marduk is around 7" exact. marduk should be a bit close to his height but he looks like a towering behemoth on this trailer.

Leon, Bruce has the Muay Thai Style of Kickboxing which is pretty evident if you know or practice any type of kickboxing. There are many styles and Bruce's is Muay Thai even tho he is American
They can't afford Bruce anymore. Bandai Namco has to pay George Lucas for using characters from the first 2 games.

It must have been his ring name since Thai boxers usually mix their ring name with part of their real name or nick name. Anyhow, he is surely very tall (in-game model) for Thai people. :3

Basically what if Bane from DKR grew up doing Muay Thai and a healthy diet of Venom compound.
I wasn't really digging his design at first, but he's grown on me pretty quick. Hyped enough to finally get the pass and play tekken again once he comes out.
