Well, from an objective point of view, i can encourage you to try to see different perspectives of life. You will grow, even if you decide one day to return to Islam. But the good thing is that after your experiences you made you will be a better muslim than right now. And actually that is sth the world needs right now. We need good muslims who dare to go out there into the world and learn something about how humanity, social structures, philosophy is done in other cultures. We need muslims who can adapt that and bring it together with their religion in a human and highly intellectual way, excluding this typical division of "We" and "they".

The sunnah is not an obligation but a tradition so an example is that it’s a sunnah to have longer hair but it is not required. Also for example shaving private parts is requirement and therefore not a sunnah

What do you do for those who have skin conditions that makes one look unsightly and/or facial hair is harmful to them? I have a lifelong skin condition called Hidradentits Supprativa.
I've had to have skin grafts on my armpits, part of my face, back of my head, and elsewhere, the grafts don't have hair follicles usually and to look uniform and orderly, i shave off all the facial hair i can grow as well as my head bald. USAF grooming standards have been drilled in my head practically since the cradle and most likely to the grave.
What can you do if a beard/facial hair is not an option? I know certain sects/denominations of Judaism and Christianity also have grooming standards that requires beards and dress in a certain way but I think also makes appropriate exceptions for those who cannot for whatever reason. I don't know about Islam on that.

If your going to have a beard, then have a beard like Sikhs, a full beard. However, the idea about having a beard is because, in Hinduism, it's a sign of renouncement from the world in pursuit of spiritual enlightenment. Or, conversely, a shaved head and face, also symbolic of renouncement of the world towards liberation.

I'm a Christian and I've had a beard since I was 20, because I like it. I think it looks good on me and I don't have to shave all the time. A lot of Muslims unfortunately seem to have no style, so their beards often look really bad.

@Rude One Don't mind most of these people LOL They're from an older age demographic where during their time, having a beard meant you were uncivilized. Unfortunately for these men, nowadays, we have very groomed beard styles that is pretty much mainstream with any man in the west in their 20s. Either you have a robust jaw to show off clean shaven or you have a nice sleekly designed faded beard to accentuate your existing jaw.

When AP said "wrong!!" with the booming reverberation i had a good laugh, it was so funny, and after a minute or too i was starting to settle down and he says another hilarious comment, had me laughing. Is he aware that he has this dry sarcasm? It really enhances everything and the message that he is saying. On a more serious note, some men actually can't grow beards, like Chinese men the beard is very thin. It's another example that shows how inaccurate islam is, due to it stipulating that men MUST grow a brard. It's similar to the Ramadan issue about having to fast until the sun sets, but there are places on earth like very far north near the north pole where the sun never sets at all. And in some countries like Sweden and Russia there is a couple of days per year where there is sunlight for about a couple of days.
Edit: a while later I remembered the other comment that he made that was funny, he said something about "don't join the gang unless you have a beard". He has this very simple sarcasm that really adds to getting his message across.

I read that in the MIddle East growing moustaches among is a tradition. There's even supposedly a saying among Arabs in admiration of moustaches: "May an eagle land on your moustache..." So, those with this kind of facial hair contradict Islam?

I battle with the Sikhs: they believe all religions are equal. I can't equate a religion with a cult like Islam and then say we r equal.
